Belladonna sat and stared at that email and then just shook her head.
She knew he’d wanted a pup with her, he had asked her and brought it up more than once over the past three years.
The last time they’d had s * x when they’d conceived this very pup, he had stated it would be nice to have a pup with her.
Now he was just abandoning it? Saying he’d never wanted one with her, it didnt really make sense to her.
But she could only suppose that now that he had his Goddess Gifted Mate, and a pup on the way with her; that was all that mattered.
Belladonna wondered just how much influence that Mate of his had on his decision.
Likely, she thought, a lot for him to turn away his own child.
He now had a pup inside a mate bond.
Whereas his and hers was just like she was, a bastard pup that was now as unwanted by its own father, as she herself had been.
She felt pain touch her chest a little, at that knowledge, it wasn’t something she wanted her child to feel, unloved and unwanted by its own father.
