Walking through it I’m led into a dark room.
How the hell had I not been able to be here before it was something I would figure out later following the passageway I hear her sobs from inside the room.
“Hailey… I call seeing her on the floor crying.
“Hailey what…
“Stay away from me Jaden Perry” I’m a little broken by her words stunned at her tone
Her eyes were bloodshot with a woman in her hand, the matching red hair and the way she held her made me know she was a relative.
Who was this lady?
More importantly, why was she held captive ?
Lord Perry comes in and I’m not sure I believed it myself that I stood up to him but I was angry and helpless watching my mate cry her ass off each step of the way her hatred fueling.
Then there’s Dimitri. I should be the one comforting her, the one she held on to, her support but no I was the villain in this story even before she made her choice I knew I had lost her.
Her emerald necklace was at the foot of my bedroom door holding on to it. I finally let my own silent tears flow.
She was gone, my Hailey and the worst of it I let her I felt my soul had been snatched, a hollowness only she could fill.
Not like your usual love story, this one ends with a tragic ending.
HAILEY STEWARTS
It was a long drive to Dimitri’s house, the rain pouring on the glass drumming hard on the car roof.
The wipers made squishy sounds as it cleared the glass. I was suddenly conscious about everything I felt so numb inside it was scary.
It was also scary; the fact I had been set free only to be bound by the scars and memories those walls caused.
Even if I’m able to forget the pain and torture I had gone through I’ll never forget my mother dying in my hands.
The rage will come. It always did first the numb painful silence, the grieving stage,the recovery then the anger when it does they’ll pay.
Now I was too weak to think about violence.
“Hailey” Dimitri called out to me,we had arrived at his house. I take his hand as he leads me under an umbrella into the house that was freezing and not just because of the weather, I felt cold within.
“Let’s get you settled, you think you can manage. I have some urgent work I have to tend to” I nod and he signals a maid to take me in.
Stopping in my tracks I turn around slowly.
“Dimitri ” My throat was itchy and my voice was hoarse, but he heard me perfectly.
“Yes Hailey”
“Thank you” I said genuinely, not waiting for a reply as I turned around to follow the maid.
“This is your room milady” she says in a smooth sweet voice.
She stops at a door, opening it slowly and standing back letting me walk through.
“Mr Dimitri has pre-order clothes for you but we must have calculated wrongly the jeans will hardly fit” she says sweetly turning pink.
I understand what she meant. There were three sets of clothes on the bed. The jean trouser looked small to fit my thighs and ass but the gowns looked decent enough. “We’ll get you new ones if you don’t like these”
“No it’s fine” I say simply. I’ll just have to manage what I have.
“Okay ma you buzz if you want anything” she says point at a remote on the bedside table.
“I’ll come as fast as I can, is there anything you need?”
“No thank you” with that said she goes out the door shutting it noiselessly.
Stripping of my old clothes that reminded me of nothing but bad times and suffering, I hurried to the shower I’ve begun to understand that taking a bath relaxes me.
Standing under the shower I let my tears flow letting it mix with the warm water as the weight of everything that happened overwhelms me.
“Hailey dear come out come out wherever you are” I tense behind the wall she was close, using my hand to close my mouth shut to hide my giggle.
“Ayy gotcha”
“Ahhh! ” I scream scurrying up from my hiding spot, a bit startled.
“No fair mama” I whine with a pout.
“You’re cheating”
“Why do you feel so?” she laughs gleefully, circling her hand around me.
“Because you keep finding me” I say, folding my hands.
“Maybe because your heart calls out to me” she teases, tapping me on my nose.
“That is a lie mama you’re cheating”
“No you love mummy so much so your heart is beating so loud and because you love me so much I’ll let you have ice cream for dinner” my face lots up at her promise.
“Yes Mummy I love you so so much” I smile hugging her tightly.
“I’m sorry Hailey…
“Huh” I suck a breath running backwards.
“Mama” I shouted in horror, she was covered in bruises lying in the pool of her own blood. She was dead.
“Mother!!!!!!”
I jerk awake, my chest heaving heavily, my face covered in beads of sweat.
I must have fallen asleep when I was done bathing.
I wish it was only a nightmare but it wasn’t, my mother was dead.
My tears start to flow as I lie up hopelessly, my heart feeling like a sharp shard has been struck through it.

With strength I never knew existed I get out the bed having a new purpose
I wipe my tears and try to keep my composure as I hit the buzzer.
Soon there’s a knock on my door.
“Come in”
The maid walks in elegantly.
“You called milady,” She says with a bow.
