Life’s Spiced Up with Some Werewolf Reads

Chapter 25 – My Mate or My Foe

“Huh?” He questions walking out the bed, I can’t help but look down at his dick.

Fluttering my eyes away.

“East coast virginia” I repeat. “I need to go there”

“Right now?” He says cocking a brow.

“Yes it’s a bit urgent don’t take it the wrong way”

“Ehmm it’s okay just give me a minute I’ll change into clothes” he says trying to hide his disappointment.

“No” I stop him from walking to his closet.

“I’ll have to go alone”

“Excuse me?” He says in a forced tone.

“I have to go alone Dimitri, look I’m glad you’ve already done so much for me but I need to go there alone I’m so sorry it’s not the right time for it but I have to” I say holding his arm.

This was a battle I had to face alone if I wanted to get answers.

Frankly at this point I had only me and that was all I needed.

Nobody actually cared my mother died in my hands and those who punished and tortured her roamed the world freely who knew the countless of people they were hiding inside that big Mansion.

The pieces were so many and none fit in place.

And letting my desires get the best of me wouldn’t get me the answers I seeked.

“If you insist” he says grumpily.

“But I’ll have to drive you there you don’t know how to drive a car”

He had a huge point there.

I ponder on this logic. I don’t know how far the distance is if I’ll be able to walk there or not.

“Okay you’ll drive me there that’s it”

“Yes ma” he teases.

He leans in for a kiss but I look away.

Dimitri has been nothing but an angel to me but this was not something I wanted.

My emotions always lead me to the wrong sides and I didn’t want that anymore. I wanted to kill all the emotion I had till it killed me.

“Let’s get going then” he sounded a bit hurt. I wanted to say something that would help us but I stayed mute scared I’ll say the wrong words and he’ll take it the wrong way.

After we both wore proper clothing we headed outside.

He walked ahead of me to the car already starting the ignition before I sat down.

On The East coast of Virginia his GPS said the only thing that made a sound through the drive.

There was an awkward silence between us in the car.

I looked out the window at the tall buildings and scenery of the night lousily drawing me to sleep.

“Bloody hell” I hear Dimitri curse loudly and a screeching sound of him drifting.

This jolts me awake wondering what the hell happened. Dimitri slams the brake hard before we could crash into the side of the street.

“What happened?”I asked, confused, rubbing my eyes to ensure I wasn’t dreaming.

“Almost crashed into a lady I hope she ain’t hurt shit” Removing his seat belt he opens the door briskly and gets out and I do the same rushing to where he was.

“I’m so sorry ma… I” Dimitri says, stunned like he had seen a ghost.

“Melissa…” He says.

young late thirties topped dusting dirt if herself her lip in.a thin lip of anger.

“Glad to see you too Dimitri” she says sarcastically thanks for the damage, waving her hand at the flower pot that was broken.

“Who is she?” I whispered but the lady heard me looking from head to toe.

“She’s former luna of the pack, Melissa Perry, Jaden’s mother”

HAILEY STEWARTS

“Seems like my son is getting what he deserves anyway you never saw me sinara” she says walking away.

“No ma I’m Hailey..”

“I didn’t ask for an introduction” She snaps cutting me off.

I’m taken aback by her tone and hostility towards me.

“Ehmm okay ma’am we actually drove all the way here to see you”

She looks at me weirdly, her blue eyes squinting as she observes my features.

“I don’t have the answers you seek and whatever you’re doing between hot and spicy you ain’t doing right”

I’m so confused and I’m sure it’s evident but she’s either ignoring it or oblivious to it as she walks I follow behind her.

“Ma please if you just give me least ten minutes of your time I’ll be out of your hair”

She glares at me like I was a pest.

“I know you ain’t dumb you can hear me perfectly can’t you?” If I’m honest I can only hear her but can’t understand anything she’s blurting except the fact she doesn’t want to speak to me.

“Ma please my mother told me to come see you”

“Good for her”

“Ma I ain’t want no problem…”

“Correction you are trouble and I ain’t want none of it”

Right hand to my head I slump down letting her go looking back at Dimitri who just shrugs his shoulders.

I breathe in and say the one thing I think would work.

“Malia is dead” this stops her. She stands for a few seconds before she turns around.

“Ten minutes top” she says through gritted.

“Okay let me say goodbye”

“Ain’t waiting for that shit you better keep up if this talk is really important” she turns away and starts heading down the pavement.

I hurry back to where Dimitri is leaning on his car.
