“Let it out, Damon. Stop trying so hard,” he giggled, tapping me on the shoulder.
He was the only one permitted to call me by my name sometimes.
“Leave me alone, Jasper. Just go and do your job,” I waved dismissively.
“I will. I just want you to know that my eyes are on you. From the day she bumped into you and you helped her, until now. Of all things, why would you even choose her instead of something more reasonable?” he asked, pinning his curious eyes on my bored ones.
“That’s it, out!” I ordered, grabbing him by the back of the neck and pushing him out of my room.
“You’re a pain in the ass,” I lamented, annoyed by his chuckle.
“Whatever, just tell Rosa to report to me,” I mind-linked him as he walked away.
“You horny bastard!” he retorted, and I hurriedly blocked him before he filled my head with more annoying questions.
I heaved a sigh of relief as I walked to my desk, picking up my half-empty glass of whiskey and pouring it down my throat while I resumed pacing around my room.
It was finally good to be alone.
Except it would be even better to be alone with Aurora.
Aurora.
Her name echoed in my head, filling me with excitement. The thought of her arrival only heightened the bulge in my pants as I let out a soft growl.
Part of me was glad that her father’s pack was being attacked by brutal enemies, and that all attempts to resolve the situation were
in vain.
At least I could see them again. And they got the security they wanted. It was a win-win!
Going to her pride without a reason or inviting her to my castle would only lead to questions and rumours.
I was furious at Rosa’s audacity to burst into my room without knocking.
Only Jasper can do that!
“On the table!” I ordered, ignoring her seductive movements. “You will be punished for barging into my room as if you owned it.”
My breath caught as I pulled down my trousers to reveal my angry, pulsating cock, waiting to bore mercilessly into her.
“First open your legs wide like you opened the door, bitch!”
My cock sank into her furiously, filling her wetness with deep, painful strokes as she quivered beneath me. My strong hands pinned her waist firmly to the table, holding her in place as I continued to ram into her, ignoring her pleas.
She should have thought of that before barging into my privacy.
“Your orgasm has been denied,” I announced unapologetically, moving my hips further into her so hard that the table creaked noisily beneath us.
I pulled out briefly, slapping her thighs so hard that they turned pink before flashing her an angry look. Without hesitation, she spread her legs wider, accommodating my size.
Good girl.
Just as I was about to plunge back into her, voices flooded my head. A growl rolled off my partly opened mouth, sending a rush of anger down my spine as I took my hands off Rosa’s slim waist.
Confusion and desire washed over her face as she glared at me, sucking on her bottom lip. Despite being fucked ruthlessly, she craved me like an addict craves their addiction.
A horny bitch she was.
“What?!” I screamed in irritation, making sure my voice was sharp enough to cause a headache in the other person’s head.
“My King.”
Frustrated, I heaved a deep sigh, cursing Jasper as I hissed loudly.
“What do you want from me?” I asked in desperation, tired of his constant interruptions.
“I just wanted to let you know that we caught a group of enemies attacking the Diamond Heart pack. Knowing the attack was from you, they acted as if they retreated, but they ambushed Ric’s car, waiting to capture Aurora.”
The anger I felt vanished in the blink of an eye, replaced by anxiety that left me terrified. My heart skipped a beat in nervousness.
I retreated from Rosa, tossing her aside. I didn’t notice when she lost her balance and fell from the table, but I didn’t care. She would heal. Afraid of drawing attention, I walked away, taking deep breaths to conceal my feelings.
The only question that rang in my mind was Aurora’s safety, but I dared not voice it out. I wasn’t ready for Jasper’s tantrums or Rosa’s curiosity. Not that I was afraid of Rosa, but I didn’t want any feelings of jealousy, especially since Aurora was coming to stay.
“I thought they were vanquished!” I exclaimed, my voice rising in anger.
“They were, but a few of them escaped. Three, to be precise. They’re special warriors, trained under intense pressure. It’s surprising they made it this far,” Jasper explained, but it only spiked my curiosity.
“How is everyone in Ric’s car?” I asked, indirectly inquiring about Aurora. I wasn’t ready for questions, not after he interrupted me.
“You should have asked about that girl because you seem to be interested in her lately.”
Even without seeing him, I could tell a smirk was plastered on his face.
“Everyone is fine, including her,” he stated, emphasizing her to get my attention.
A breath of relief rolled off my lips silently. “And the spies?”
“They’re here with me in the castle. I’m waiting for your orders, my King,” he said before going silent.
I was about to give orders when screams and curses interrupted me. I could tell it was the spies.
Lousy nuisances.
“Your King? He doesn’t even have an heir,” one of the spies blurted out mockingly.
A pang of pain shot through my chest, ripping it apart with his hurtful words. It wasn’t his fault. If Ivy hadn’t died with our babies in her womb, he wouldn’t have had the guts to say that to me.
Despite how hurtful it felt, I managed my emotions.
From the background, I could hear Jasper landing brutal punches, his fists meeting flesh with sickening force. The spy only laughed hysterically, like a man who had lost his mind.
“You can kill me if you want, loyal dog,” the same voice sneered, his words dripping with defiance.
A growl of irritation rumbled in my chest.
Jasper didn’t hesitate to knock him down again, his rage barely contained.
“I want to bury my claws deep into their hearts! Just say the word, my King!” he roared, striking the man once more.
“Kill the rest except him. He belongs in the dungeon,” I ordered, my voice sharp with finality. Without waiting for his response, I severed the mind link.
Enough of these worthless words.
As much as I wanted to end that bastard’s miserable life, doing so now would only prove him right.
No, I would prove my own worth. I could father a child.
And once my heir was born, I would personally see to it that the fool was executed.
But until then…
My heart ached as memories clawed at it, ripping through my composure like a blade.
I was a joke to them.
A mockery.
