Life’s Spiced Up with Some Werewolf Reads

Chapter 258 – Mated To My Obsessive Stepbrother (Kester & Kasmine) Novel Free Online by Velvet Desires

But nah.

Tearing them apart with my bare hands felt too fucking good.

By the time I barged into the main building, my claws were soaked, dripping hot blood across the floor. But it wasn’t enough, I needed mor… I followed the sound of voices and more shots and kept moving until I stepped right into the center of the damn warzone. It was the kind that made my heart skip several beats.

Shattered glasses, dust, smoke, broken bricks, bodies, all scattered around. My eyes did a quick scan of the bodies scattered around, and relief almost washed me to the floor when I didn’t find Kasmine’s body.

But when I turned my gaze to the far left of the large space, I saw her.

Fuck.

But she wasn’t alone.

Nagel held her by her throat to the fucking wall with a snarl on his face. Saint and Norlan soon joined me, both pointing guns at Nagel while Zeth was already clawing at the edges of my mind, demanding full control. And I almost gave it to him.

My mate looked so weak and pale that my heart shattered by- looking at her.

God, I thought I had lost my emotions to numbness… They were still fucking there, because everything came flooding in the moment I saw her like that.

Everyone went still. But why did it seem we were here for two different missions? Why was Kyrie, Saint’s Beta, pointing his gun at one of Nagel’s men who was holding a young girl captive? Why did he look like he was ready to throw this whole mission under the bus just to rescue whoever the fuck that girl was?

Saint didn’t take his eyes off Kyrie. His jaw clenched tight enough to snap. “Fucking idiot,” he hissed under his breath.

‘What the fuck is going on? Who is she?” I growled, pointing at the girl in a small black gown that hung barely two inches below her butt cheeks, who Kyrie was seconds away from killing for.

He was silent for a while, his eyes narrowed to slits as he glared at the said girl before replying in one simple sentence.

“She’s my stepsister.”

That was all he had to say to complete the puzzle. When they said they had someone on the inside, they were referring to her.

And obviously, Kyrie, in his glorious savior complex, was seconds away from tanking the entire op because he thought she was in danger.

“You’ve lost control of your men, Saint.” That was all I could manage without lunging at him. The rage choking me made it hard to say mon?, ti?? disappointment burned in my chest like acid.

I didn’t care who the fuck that girl was to Kyrie and why he would do that, but for all their sakes, I hope nothing happens to my mute herojuse of inte

Let her go. Nagel, 1 growled, taking a step forward, but he tightened his grip on her, his claws already pressed so clogs to Rer throat in a way I didn’t appreciate. The sight damn near made me snap.

“One more step and I’ll sink these into her pretty little neck, lover boy, Nagel warned, baring his fangs.

More of his men trooped in, surrounding us. Some were already in their partial wolf forms, while the others held guns which i was wire had silver bullets

This was all truly fucked up. I turned my disappointed gaze to see Saint standing with his usual blank expression. One can’t even tell if he feels guilty rest. this or not. He just stood, pointing his rifle at Nagel.

Nagel’s grip tightened around Kasmine’s throat, enough to make her gag, but he had no plans to kill her yet. He was toying with her, with me, and with everyone in this goddamn room.

I could hear her struggling to breathe, her fingers clawing weakly at his wrist. Every second I didn’t move felt like I was failing her all over again.

Nagel wanted a stage, and we were all the fucking audience.

“You know,” he finally said in a tone laced with venomous smugness, ‘I told you once… didn’t I? That I’d take her from you.”

Fucking bastard.

“And here we are,” he added, pressing his claws closer, and a thin line of blood formed beneath her skin.

“Let her go,” I growled.

“You thought you solved your insecurity issues by killing me back then.” His grin stretched wider. “But all you did was set me free, Kester. I stopped pretending and started living life my own way. But I knew that one day, I’d return for retribution… and now, here we are.”

“Kester…” Kasmine whimpered, and I hated the smug look on Nagel’s face at the sound of her pain.

“You’ve stepped on too many toes because of her, boy. And now, you get to pay the price,” he tilted his head slowly, as if expecting me to crack at his words.

“First, Nagel continued, “with that sweet little Black Ledger our golden boy, Jake, handed over, I’m just one step away from burning your entire fucking empire to the ground. Taking you out piece by piece and watching everything you’ve built shatter to the ground is the only solace my soul desires.”

I clenched my jaws, forcing myself to remain calm. One wrong move and I’d lose Kasmine forever. And as for the ledger, the fool hadn’t even found out it was fake just yet.

Perfect.

“So you’ve got what you came for-the fucking ledger. Hand her over.”

Nagel scoffed, shaking his head like I’d just told a bad joke.

“Oh, no, no, no,” He leaned closer to Kasmine, dragging in her scent, before sneering down at me. “You don’t get to make demands, lover boy. She’s mine now. What greater ecstasy would my soul seek, if not to see the almighty Kester Hamilton loose the one person he could burn the whole world for He looked around at his men in amusement, laughing like a lunatic.

“But,” He turned his attention back to Kamsine, observing her like she was a product on display, “if you so desperately want her…” He flashed those goddamn fangs again. “You’ll have to pry hef from my cold, rotting corpse.”

“Then I suggest you start digging your fucking grave,” I growled.

KESTER.

I swear to fuck, I was done listening to this prick while he choked my mate almost to death.

I was ready to damn every fucking consequence and storm toward him, rip his throat out and take Kasmine to safety, even if I ended up with a bullet to the heart.

But Saint spoke before I could make a move.

Just one line.

“You’re burning through your safehouses faster than your men can die, Nagel.”

And that stopped the fucker.

Nagel’s hand stilled just a little around Kasmine’s throat, his eyes snapping to Saint with interest.

“What the fuck do you mean?” Nagel asked.

“Twenty-one locations. Three this week alone. Want to guess how I knew about the basement off Durham Street? Or that little bank vault in Abuja you’re using to move cash?” Saint dropped down his rifle and tilted his head slightly, just enough to suggest he wasn’t pressed, as if he were having a conversation in a boardroom.

“You’ve got a rat,” Saint continued, “And I’m the only person alive who knows who it is. I mean, the very rat who’s been feeding your ops to that Colombian handler you thought you paid off months ago.”

That made Nagel twitch, like his instincts were turning on each other. It was quick, but I saw it.

“Like hell you do,” Nagel scoffed.

“Yeah. I do. And I know what they gave up. How much. To who. I can list names, routes, cash drops… even your last burner ID. Want me to keep going?”

Nagel didn’t speak. But his grip on Kasmine loosened, just slightly.

“Every attack you’ve suffered in the past six months? Wasn’t luck or surveillance. It was him. Or her. Maybe even more than one.” Saint shrugged casually.

I looked between them, not sure what the fuck I was watching anymore. This wasn’t a negotiation. It was a live autopsy, and Saint was cutting into Nagel where it shook the most.

Did mention how calm and unbothered Saint’s voice sounded? He spoke as if he were reading a grocery list, and somehow that made it ten times more terrifying. Of course, not for someone like me.

Dude’s a fucking psychopath. No one can tell me otherwise.
