‘Are you alright?’
I looked up into Koda’s gorgeous eyes to find them filled with concern.
‘Im okay’ I responded in confusion, how did he know I was upset
He rose our entwined hands to show me that I was gripping him tightly
‘If everything’s fine, then why am I losing blood flow in this hand’
‘I’m sorry’ I said and tried to pull my hand back, but Koda simply held it tighter.
‘Whats is bothering you and do not lie to me again’
I looked nervously at Rick but Koda shook his head.
‘Don’t worry about Rick’ He said firmly ‘He’s loyal, anything you say in front of him will remain private. Now speak’
I pouted and looked down ‘I was just thinking about Luna Morgan’ I admitted.
‘Well don’t?’ Koda said dismissively ‘Forget about that entire half-breed family, they aren’t worth your compassion’
‘Luna was always kind to me’ I told him, but he rolled his eyes and shook his head ‘I feel awful for hurting her’
‘There’s no point in dwelling on it’ He told me, he really didn’t get it, I couldn’t just shut off this guilt ‘The only way to make her feel better is to be with her son and if you even suggested that, Jax’s and I would kill him so let it go’
I sighed quietly and returned to looking out the window, men… they just didn’t understand.
After a few minutes, we pulled into a large underground parking structure and followed a stream of lights to an area reserved private.
‘Must be good to be a prince’ I smirked ‘You always get the best parking spot’
Koda laughed and put his phone into his pocket.
‘Thank you, Rick’ Koda said as he opened his car door ‘We’ll be back in a few hours or so’
‘Hours!?’ I looked at him in shock.
Koda smiled and kissed my hand ‘Yes baby, hours’ He responded ‘You need a lot of things, so, Rick, we’ll be back in a few hours, leave the car unlocked, so I can have things brought back here but you can take off if you like, just be back here by lunchtime or maybe 1pm, actually, I’ll link you’
‘Yes Alpha’ He nodded ‘Have a great day Luna’
‘Thank you’ I smiled politely at him ‘And thank you for driving us’
‘It was no bother Luna’
‘Come on baby’ Koda said excitedly and began pulling me towards the elevators ‘Where should we go first?’
He looked me over with a smirk and answered his own question ‘Definitely lingerie’
‘What?!’ I blushed red in an instant ‘We can’t, you.. I’m not shopping for lingerie with you’
Koda laughed and pulled me into the elevator and pressed level 2.
‘Of course you can’ He said as if it was no big deal ‘We’re mates, and I am going to see more of you than just you wearing lingerie baby, just relax’
I looked down at my feet as my heart raced nervously, but Koda laughed softly again.
‘Ok fine’ He said, and I looked up again ‘We will start with shoes and work our way up to lingerie, better?’
I nodded and he smiled and shook his head.
‘You are the strangest Lycan ever’ He teased me ‘Would it help if we shopped for my lingerie too, I think I’ll get a nice bra set’
‘Shut up’ I laughed and shoved him, but he smiled and pulled me into a hug
‘Mmm’ He murmured as he nuzzled his face into my hair ‘You smell so good, I could always stop the elevator and we could have some fun’
I gasped and pulled back ‘Stop it’ I said shyly.
‘Fine’ He exhaled grumpily but he was still smiling.
The elevator doors opened and Koda reached out his hand again, which I took quickly, I really liked touching him and Jaxson, it didn’t feel like this with Scott.
The smell of fried food and materials assaulted my senses as we walked out of the elevators.
‘Ready?’ Koda winked at me, and together we walked through the small crowd of people already shopping.
I noticed a lot of strange glances as we shopped, but I tried to ignore them and it either didn’t bother Koda at all or he was used to it because he was a master at ignoring them.
Koda dragged me from store to store, trying on new clothes and trying to get me to pick what style I liked, but the truth was, I had no idea what I liked, I’d always just bought what was cheap.
I mostly settled on pretty flowy dresses that caught my eye, but Koda insisted on buying jeans and shorts and long pants and short skirts and jackets and jumpers and shoes and literally everything else in the mall.
My head was swimming after an hour, but he made us keep going for the next three. Eventually, he did drag me into a few lingerie shops, but I demanded he wait by the entrance until I was done, though it didn’t stop him from trying to peak inside the bags.
“Luke” Koda called out once we left another shop and a man in a black suit came forward.
“Yes Alpha” He bowed his head.
“Take all of these back to the car and drive them home” Koda ordered, and passed the poor man about thirty bags Koda had been carrying around ‘Have Julia wash them and put them into the Luna’s closest’
“Yes sir” He said and awkwardly collected the bags
“The keys are in the car” Koda told him “And then return to your post”
“Yes sir”
I watched Luke walk away, trying to avoid customers on his journey.
“Who was that man?’ I asked as Koda began to drag me down a hall again.
“One of your new guards”
“I have guards?”
“My father organized them last night” He told me
“He did?’
