“Don’t lie to me, I detest liars,” I retort, I don’t hold it against them but I’m still hurt.
“You are an Altamirano alright, Princess,” She bows, still smirking.
Dan comes to greet me and I respond politely.
“Ladies and gentlemen,” My mate’s voice booms, stopping all the chattering, he glances at me and extends his hand which I take.
“As many of you have heard, I found my beautiful mate, Alyssa,”
I didn’t expect the crowd to burst out in cheers. I was flustered by this. With a simple hand gesture from their Lycan King, they quieten and he proceeds.
“Therefore, I canceled my marriage to Alaiah Martin and is not allowed in the territory,” The crowd once again cheer in happiness, I get the feeling that Alaiah is not liked here. Leondre announced to everyone that in a month I’ll have my Luna ceremony which I didn’t expect but I am happy about it, I will be his Queen.
Later, most of the members leave to go to their homes and only the high-ranking members stay to talk to the king, they are over a hundred in total and most of them have something to say. I’m yawning every five seconds and was even happier when he said to wrap up.
Some members even approach me to pay their respect.
I feel Arya hug me from behind and introduce me to a girl named Denis, Denis is fierce and pretty with heavy red curls and flawless honey skin. She is a general in the western district.
She extends her hand towards me and I don’t miss the smirk that appears on her lips and my wolf growls lowly.
‘She was one of his lovers,’
My eyes are bloodshot and she notices this, making her bow.
We discuss a bit with her before she goes to the king. I watch the woman interact with the higher ranking with confidence and passion, I wonder if I’ll be able to stand with Leondre like that and discuss issues of the pack.
‘You will Allie, you are slowly getting there,’ Says Chalo confidently. Indeed, I will get there and after all, I’m the Moon Goddess’ chosen child and was specially made for Leon.
Arya’s POV
I felt his presence even in my sleep but I shook my head, Jacob couldn’t come here, he wasn’t stupid. I rolled on my side and when the bed deepen and tingles run down my body, I jerked up awake.
“No, no,” I muttered, getting out of bed and facing the arrogant man who was now sitting at the end of my bed.
“Arya,”
“How did you get in my room?” I interrogated coldly, does he have no fear? This is the fucking king’s castle!
“Doesn’t matter, I needed to see you,” I frowned at his response while he smirked. He was too arrogant!
“How dare you come into my home, my room?” I angrily say, crossing my arms against my chest. His eyes roam over my body and I realize I’m only wearing short silk nightwear, blood rushes to my veins but I play it cool.
“Arya, have you made a decision?” He is serious now, taking me slightly back. He stands up and walks closer to me. His hands rest on my waist and kiss my forehead.
“I want your body,” He whispers, I was baffled at his bluntness. I take a deep breath and put some distance between us. An annoying smirk formed on his lips and he knew that I was going to accept his proposal because I need him. I feel flustered
“Dinner, tomorrow night at my casino,” He says and I nod. He picks my hand up and brings it to his lips, my heart is pounding desperately and I feel stupid. I’m Arya Lavista for fuck sake, I can’t let him act this way but the idiot has the mate bond on his side and he knows it very well. We stay speechless for a long time, lost in each other’s gazes until he advanced toward me. I forgot how to breathe when he leaned closer and kissed me, passionately.
I was expecting it so I moved with him but what I didn’t expect was how sweet and gentle the kiss is. He was savoring every part of me and I did not hold back. The kiss was warming up my body and my Lycan howled.
However, the kiss was forbidden, it wasn’t supposed to happen because of our pack’s feud but at this moment, the world fade away and all the negativity didn’t seem to matter, I wanted this man, fuck I needed him with everything in me.
Jacob held my nape and claimed more of my lips as he desired so much. His lips were familiar against mine.
Our kiss lasted a few minutes. We were breathing heavily and he smiled when he pulled away. I blushed profusely and amusement danced in his blue eyes. Jacob leaned over and kissed the part where my mark would go if we decided to make it official. A shiver runs through my body and his eyes shone gold.
His eyes tensed and conflict brewed within, did his Lycan want to mark me? He turned around me, not wanting me to see him, and take deep breaths.
“I should go,” Before I can respond, he leaves through the window. So that’s how he got in here, Idiot.
The next morning, I woke up feeling nervous, I wore a black ensemble and went downstairs. I was surprised to find my brother and his woman at the dining table, Jack, Dan, and Jake were there too. Greeting them, I started eating my breakfast. Ignoring Jack’s intense gaze on me.
Jack has always liked me since I was young and we become an item once but we ended it long ago when I found my first mate.
I dragged my sister-in-law out for a much-needed girl time, we went shopping since she wants to change up her style to a more elegant and classic style and I approved. I picked out most of her styles from famous brands and others from our local designers as being big on supporting local designers.
“How are things?” She suddenly asks, ever since she came back from her brother’s pack, Allie is stronger and her aura is elevating slowly to something great.
The way she is looking at me makes me feel like she can read my emotions and I find myself confessing.
“I’m confused,” Her gaze softens and she sighs, the designers who were taking her measurements leave immediately and Allie sits next to me.
“What is it?”
“I want a man I shouldn’t and it’s suffocating,” I feel tears sting my eyes and she pulls me into a comforting embrace.
“Oh, Allie, I don’t know what to do!”
We stayed there and I told her everything except the name of the man I desired. I couldn’t risk telling her because now that she and my brother have marked each other, they can hear each other’s emotions and thoughts. It will wreak havoc.
“Follow your heart, you only have one life to live so make the most of it,” She advises.
I nod and caress her face, she’s so grown now. A few Lycan females enter the boutique we were in and upon recognizing us, they pay their respects and happily chat with their new Luna, I watch with a smile on my lips as she politely socializes with them. My phone chimes and I check it, it’s a reminder.
“Dinner tonight with Jacob at city light casino,”
