When are you due, Bella? she asked her.
Oh, any day now, you came at a good time.
She smiled, and Bella watched her rub her lower back and saw her wrinkle her nose a little. Any day now.
Freya snorted. She’s in the early stages now and doesn’t even know it.
Freya always knew when a she wolf was in labour, she had never, not once gotten it wrong.
Probably should get you to the pack hospital, Bella.
She stated.
What why? Bella frowned at her.
Youre in labour.
She chuckled and saw the woman’s eyes go a little wide.
I’ll go and call Ben.
You go to the hospital, Mala stepped right into the cr?ches grounds and ushered Bella out through the gate, Welcome to the Hollowed Moon Dr Harrington.
Not even a day here, and you’re already going to deliver a pup for us.
Bella smiled; did it really surprise her no it did not.
This was what it was like the last time she’d been inside a pack; she hadn’t even been able to leave that pack without delivering one last pup.
So why not start her new life here as a pack doctor by delivering a pup right away.
She left Whitney in the cr?che with Mala and the other children.
He just waved her off and giggled, when she told him she had to go and deliver a pup.
She knew he would be happy here with the other children he was already making friends.
He was also with the Luna.
The creche she’d noted was also in the centre of the pack surrounded by the town, likely in order to have warriors here to protect the pups if something happened.
Little Lenora arrived into the pack right as her father Ben burst into the delivery room Im here.he gasped and banged off the wall.
Had come through the hospital at full wolfen speed.
She placed Lenora into Bellas hands and smiled at the two of them, laughed when Bella reached out and whacked him You nearly missed her birth.
I would never.
Ben smiled down at his Mate and dropped a soft kiss onto her temple.
He finally looked to her, had been solely focused on his Mate and only now that it was all over and he knew she was all good, had his eyes moved to her.
He blinked as he realised that he had no idea who she was, it hadn’t concerned him due to her having the pack scent on her now.
Dr Harrington.
She introduced herself.
That is Bella.
Bella laughed and she saw Bens eyes go a little wide.
I do go by Bella when off duty, but you can call me Belladonna or Doc.
Though I suppose we could do Bell.
Bell it is.
He held his hands out Nice to meet you and thank you for little Lennys safe delivery.
Freya
She stood looking at Selena as she appeared before her in the forest.
It was a full moon and the only night of the month she could never hide from the woman.
The best time for that was under a new moon.
She was blind on those days, unable to see her children or disciples.
It ticked her off to no end some days; that one little wolf that couldn’t ever be seen by her.
Even Freya couldn’t find the poor lost creature, and she had tried, she was a lost, lonely soul, and sometimes her pain could be felt, but there was no comforting or consoling one that couldn’t be found.
Lost to their kind, forsaken and banished from their own world by one stupid Alpha.
Though she also had no priestesses anymore, they’d all left the temple, the wolfen realm was a much better place than it had been when created.
They were no longer needed for the most part.
A few unruly wolves remained, but that was not something that was going to change; free will was the problem.
There were some cruel, nasty people in all realms, it just couldn’t be helped.
She turned to walk away from the woman now walking towards her.
Selena wanted company now that she had no one to talk to in her temple.
Well, not ones she wanted to anyway.
Freya knew Selena wanted her to come reside there once more, like she had a long time ago when they’d gotten along.
You need to stop this; I understand your unhappiness.
Selena sighed.
Freya snorted at her in derision. She didn’t really care for those words; she wasn’t the only unhappy wolf in their world, so very many of them were unhappy, used, and abused.
Selena herself was rarely happy either.
Don’t you speak to me like that, I will punish you.
Selena stated.
A low growl admitted from Freya Ill bite you right back.
She shot into Selena’s mind, and turned to walk away from her.
Not many could mind link to the moon goddess herself, but Freya held no fear of this woman.
She couldn’t really harm her, not when she actually needed her.
She appeared right before Freya and knelt down and looked right into her eyes.
I can see your work is coming to an end.
Selena ignored the comment about being bitten; it wouldn’t be the first time she’d gotten bitten by Freya, and it would likely happen again many times.
As much as they loved each other, they were at odds most of the time, couldn’t see eye to eye anymore, a rift had been torn between them, and it would stay that way until Freyas mate was reborn and returned to her.
