Kia looked extremely put out by his suggestion, but she didn’t have a choice.
“Goodbye Luna” She bowed reluctantly and glared at me
The other girls followed suit before rushing off.
“Come sit back down baby, the food should be here soon”
“Why did you make them say goodbye to me?” I asked quietly as I sat beside him again.
“For fun” He smirked “Plus, they should have said it to begin with, you are their Luna whether they like it or not, and they will treat you with respect and also.. if they didn’t, it would have been a good excuse to kill them all”
Before I could respond, two men came over holding several trays of food and Koda clapped his hands together happily.
“Finally” He said as if he’d been waiting for hours “I am starving”
I rolled my eyes and smirked at him as the men placed our food down.
“Thank you”
“You’re welcome” The younger man smiled at me but Koda cleared his throat and the boys backed away.
“We still have another few dishes coming, Alpha” The oldest of the men told him as Koda pulled a tray closer and picked up a knife.
“Thanks” He responded and started cutting a burrito in half “Baby, try this, it’s a chicken Cali burrito, you’ll love it”
“Thank you” I said as I took my half and bit into it.
“Good, right?” Koda smiled happily, and I swear, I could practically see his tail wagging.
MADELYLN’S POV
Lunch was amazing but I was extremely full, Koda had insisted that I at least take one bite of everything but when I explained that I literally had no more room left in my stomach, he gave up and ate the rest of the food himself, Lycan Alpha’s really could eat alot or perhaps it was just Lycan men in general because I looked around the food court and saw that all of the men had mountains of food on their plates.
After a quick trip to the bathroom so I could clean up after all that food, Koda began dragging me around again.
We got my nails done from a very chatty witch who tried to convince me to get nails that changed colour due to my mood but I refused and got a simple blue colour after which we picked out a tone of jewellery that would take me years to wear each piece and then shoes and creams and hair accessories and basically everything else a girl could need for the rest of her life.
At which point he asked my guard, who’d returned at this point, to make a second trip home to drop off another load of things.
I apologised for his troubles but he brushed it off by saying he was happy to help.
Finally Koda pulled me to a hair salon with a massive wolf carving at the entrance and golden doors, what surprised me the most was that this store had guards by the entrance and they were checking to see if people had appointments before allowing them inside.
“Your majesty” They greeted Koda who nodded and walked passed them.
The salon was gorgeous, there was a marble table to the left of the entrance where a young Asian women was sitting on the phone but she waved at Koda before going back to her conversation.
On either side of the room were large comfortable chairs with a few clients getting their hair done by the hairdressers and on the middle was a glass wall to seperate each side but it doubled as a water feature.
A few of the girls getting their hair done straightened up and blushed when they saw my mate and I exhaled grumpily.
“Cody!” A women called out.
I hadn’t heard anyone outside of the twins family call them by their names or nicknames and I was instantly jealous, who was this women, was she another ex girlfriend?
I turned and saw a gorgeous black haired women in a long cream dress approaching us with her arms out but I growled when she went to hug Koda.
The girl laughed and hit Koda playfully and I growled again.
“Nice to see you told my new cousin about me”
Cousin?
“Maddie, this is Evet” He told me and kissed my hand in comfort “Evy, this is Madelyn, Evet is my cousin, well yours too actually, her father is my uncle on my father’s side”
“Oh” I blushed, so she wasn’t a threat “I’m sorry I growled at you your majesty”
“Dont even sweat it” Evet laughed and shocked me by pulling me into a hug but I froze in fear and she quickly let me go “Opps, sorry, not a hugger I see”
“Not really” I responded and moved closer to Koda.
“She needs her hair done” Koda told Evet as he rubber the back of my hand with his thumb to comfort me
“Yes, that’s obvious” Evet frowned as she looked at my hair before getting closer to me and touching it “Have you ever had any product in here?”
“No” I answered and leant back.
“I see” She said thoughtfully “Well you’re in good hands, come and sit down and we’ll wash it first, Cody, go do…. what ever it is you do and I’ll will take care of my future Queen”
Koda looked at me for a second before he nodded “I will just get some calls done while you’re getting your haircut’ He said before turning to his cousin ‘Dont cut it too short, we like it long”
“Excuse you” Evet put her hands on her hips and glared at Koda “Its up to..” She looked at me “Madelyn right?”
“Yes” I answered “Or Maddie, either one”
“Right” She said before looking back at Koda “Its up to Maddie how short or long her hair is, now shoo”
Koda rolled his eyes and kissed my cheek “I will be right outside if you need me”
“She doesn’t” Evet informed him “I can take care of her”
Koda threw up his hands in amusement before exiting the salon, I felt a little nervous being alone with Evet, I was barely comfortable with my mates and here I was alone with another stranger.
“Just lean your head back Maddie” Evet told me as she walked around the back of the chair ‘So how are you enjoying the pack so far?”
“Its okay I guess” I shrugged “The city is beautiful but I’m not used to being around so many people, my old pack only had about a thousand pack members and only werewolves”
“You’ll get used to it” She told me as she began to wash my hair and messaging my skull.
I closed my eyes and relaxed, it felt amazing, why had I never had this done before?
“So what would you like me to do with your hair?”
“I have no idea’ I said shyly “The twins organised this, I wouldn’t have a clue what to do, I usually just cut it myself whenever it became to long and unmanageable”
“Oh, okay” She responded but she sounded confused by my comment “Well how about I cut the ends off, it looks a little dead and then we’ll just add some product to help it get a little healthier”
“Ok” I shrugged, I had no clue about any of this kind of thing “Can I ask you something?”
