I walk into the dining room and see two girls from the Elite class talking to my brothers as I walk over to them. Both girls give me a look and arch their eyebrows at me like they are wondering why I am here. I just look back at them and then Tyler notices me standing behind him and gives me a big hug.
“I am so proud of you! You did great in the Elite class, and it is only your second day. We are both proud of you” Tyler tells me.
“Yea, um why are you in our class, it’s to lose weight right? The blonde one says.
The brunette with her laughs, “Yea, you have a way to go for you to be able to get in shape”.
Tate stands straighter and says “First day being a good person? What is the malfunction with you two? Don’t you ever speak to her like that again”
“She walked up uninvited, we were already talking to you guys, she was the one who was rude,” the blonde said.
“She is our sister, and her place is ALWAYS with us, this conversation is now over, please do not approach us again. Now that we have seen how you are, we don’t want to have anything to do with you. Pretty on the outside and ugly on the inside” Tyler tells them both. He then takes my arm and pulls me away from the girls.
“I am sorry I messed up your chance at dating them, they are very beautiful, maybe if you go back after you eat, they will agree to go out with you,” I tell them.
“No way Sis, I have no interest in either one of them”. Tate said. “They had approached us before the Elite class the blonde one is named Ashley, and the brunette is Claire. They are pretty, but only on the outside. On the inside they are ugly. You can’t trust girls like that. They are fake and just trying to get attached to a higher rank in the pack. They are both warriors, but they want a Beta or higher title. I feel sorry for Asher, one, or both, of them, probably have tried to put their claws in him”
“Asher? Who is Asher?” I ask them.
“Asher is Alpha Andrew and Luna Monica’s oldest child. He is about to turn 20 this Summer and is at Alpha training right now. When I graduate in May, I will go into Alpha Training this August so I can learn as much as I can before I meet my Luna and take over Dark Moon, here in the next year or two. Asher is a nice guy. Tyler tells me.
Ok now I know who the guy in the picture is, Asher, I run it over my tongue in my mind. I like that name.
“Ok, if you are sure, I just didn’t want to stand in the way, especially if either of you liked the girls. I don’t want to mess up your love lives. I just got here. I don’t want to cause any waves. I love you guys and am scared I am an embarrassment to you both. So many things have gone wrong for me lately and I am embarrassed by what has happened. I feel like an idiot for falling for Eric, but he was so cute, and he stopped the others from picking on me. I really thought he liked me, it was so embarrassing Danica grabbing me and ripping my dress. I do feel stupid. How could I think that he would be interested in me?” I say I had started off in a regular tone, but by the end, I was whispering. I am so embarrassed about what happened. What if my brothers see it, or my dad and Luna Joy, would they still love me? I start tearing up. I have probably shamed my family. Will I ever make someone proud to be associated with me? My dad is an Alpha, if anyone found out it was causing him a great deal of shame, would he turn his back on me? Would I lose my new family over a stupid mistake?
“Never think we aren’t proud of you Jade. You have had a hard life, but you kept your head high and managed to succeed, all on your own with no outside help. You are so smart, and we know that you will do great things. Let me set your mind at ease, we have already seen the videos. So have mom and dad. We found them online after the meeting in the office yesterday morning. We wanted to see how you had been treated. You did nothing wrong. THEY did. Just them. You were tricked and betrayed. Please, NEVER ever think that we don’t love you. We love you. We will support and protect you. You are not alone anymore you have us, and we are not going anywhere” Tyler tells me.
