Chapter 35 – Falling for the Last Lycan Novel

The thought of it alone, the imagination of that moment alone, sent shiver down her spine, but it was not because of fear, but… excitement. The thrill.

And now, Silas came to her. He approached her with his killing intent.

However, little did he know that Zuri was more than willing to take him head on.

She was not a good fighter, but at the same time, Silas was not a good fighter either. Aside from a few trainings here and there, he spent all of his time in the brothel, exercising his prowess with women instead of men in battle training.

For the record, Zuri had fought and killed two guards based on instinct alone, while Silas… the only time when he killed someone was when he was being helped by the other warriors to bully someone to their death.

Silas’s golden brown beast growled dangerously, as he moved to Zuri’s black beast side and tried to claw the side of her body, but Zuri managed to dodge it, as she was faster than him and clamped her canines on his back, which caused Silas roared in pain.

Blood spurted out on the ground and the sight fueled Zuri with delight.

She wanted more…

More blood…

More pain…

More agony…

Just like how he hurt her when she was little. Just like how he gave an idea to their father with the needles. Just like how he broke her bones when he was upset with her.

More and more pain…

If it was possible, you could see the black beast was snickering to see the other beast fell to the ground after her second attack that managed to tear the other beast’s neck.

The golden brown beast jerked up and took a tentative step to retreat, seemingly realized what kind of opponent that he was facing right now.

Zuri was no longer that helpless child that he could bully and torture as he pleased. She was different… she looked different.

The black beast looked more feral and vicious.

Khaos was completely right about one thing about her; Zuri was born with a strong killing instinct. She was not trained, but it didn’t mean she was not lethal when she let loose this side of her.

On the third attack, Silas was forced to shift back into his human form, because he could no longer preserve his beast’s form, which only made his position became more vulnerable.

He immediately collapsed to the ground, as his blood seeped into grass beneath him. He was panting heavily, while his healing ability tried to heal him immediately, but his wounds were so deep and some of them took a long time to heal.

One more fatal strike and Silas would meet his end.

“Wh- what the fuck…?” Silas couldn’t believe that he was going to be killed by his own sister, as he watched in horror when the black beast came approaching him. The intention was very clear, as the beast bared her teeth. “No… no… are you crazy? You are going to… to kill me?”

Crazy.

Should she live up to the favorite name that they gave to her? They loved to call her crazy, maybe she needed to show them how crazy she could be.

Zuri was ready to tear Silas apart, just like how she did to those guards, bathing in their blood, the sound of their breaking bones would be delightful. Her blood sang with excitement with the mere thought of that.

However, before Zuri could do exactly that, a brown beast jumped on her and she sensed him before he could make a contact with her, thus she needed to dodge this sudden attack.

A thunderous growl escaped the black beast’s throat, as she growled viciously at the intruder. She didn’t like it when she was being disrupted.

Her eyes darted from Silas on the ground, who was still wailing, to the brown beast that looked at her with wary.

She was familiar with his scent, but she couldn’t tell where she knew him.

For a moment, they were in this stalemate position, as the the two beasts stared at each other, trying to figure out what the other would do.

But then, after a long pause, the brown beast finally took the risk and shifted back into his human form, since he couldn’t communicate with her through mindlink.

“Zuri…” Caiden called her name, but at the same time, he mindlink Khaos to come over and watch what this woman had done.

The alpha needed to see it with his own eyes what the woman that he had chosen to get involved in their revenge, had done.

“Zuri, back off.” Caiden looked wary. He could sense that Zuri was a strong opponent in her beast form. More so, he couldn’t intimidate her, since she was two ranks above him.

Caiden had sensed something was off with Zuri, but he couldn’t tell what was that and now, he knew… she was insane.

Why would she attack Silas? More importantly, how could she exude such strong killing intent?

“Zuri?” Caiden called her name. He didn’t know what to do or say. He could fight her and he would if it came to that, but it was obvious that the fight wouldn’t end good for one of them. “Zuri, why are you doing this?”

The black beast let out a vicious growl, while Silas was trembling behind him. Blood oozed out from his deep wounds. He was dying and Zuri didn’t even bat an eye to finish him off.

“Zuri?” Caiden gritted his teeth and he could feel it even before it happened.

Out of instinct, the gamma shifted into his beast right at that time when Zuri attacked him. There was no recognition in her eyes, as if she didn’t know who he was.

The fight was vicious. They snapped at each other, trying to take their opponent down in the most vicious way possible.

Caiden couldn’t take her lightly, because it wouldn’t end good for him. From the look of it alone, Zuri was determined to get to Silas and Caiden was an obstacle in her eyes. She wanted nothing, but to see blood.

Blood…

More blood…

More of it…

The gamma was having a hard time to defend himself against Zuri, despite the fact he was a well trained warrior, Zuri’s movement was unpredictable and she was incredibly agile and fast for her own good. She dodged his attack and got out his clutch briskly. It helped because her beast was smaller than Caiden’s. She knew how to take advantage of it, which was… incredible.

Shit!

Zuri managed to circle him and get his back, she was so close to claw his neck when suddenly she stopped and then backed off.

Caiden didn’t know what happened, but this was his chance!

“Stop it, Caiden.”

Khaos’s voice was not too loud, but it was firm. It filled with authority, which made Caiden stop in his attack. The gamma watched Zuri shifted into her human form. Her body was stained with blood. Silas’s blood.
