Alpha Aston and his unit, along with Ben, had taken the kids on a camping and rafting trip a year and half ago.
The boy was now hooked and all trips were made around white water rafting.
They took a walk in the evening before settling in for the night to watch a movie, before going to bed.
She walked him to school the next day, picking up other children along the way, and they all ran all over the place.
Whit was telling them about the camping and rafting trip and others were looking at her like they wanted to go as well.
The boy was exciting them all.
She just smiled, this one was just him and her trip.
Ben and Aston, she knew, were planning another trip for the packs children up near Fort Collins.
Along with another allied pack, they were making it big.
Alpha Chase was going to be taking his pack children as well.
It was a massive allied pack adventure for the kids from what she understood, and it was taking some planning due to the accommodation and safety precautions being sorted out.
Then she headed off up to the training ground.
She didn’t actually train like everyone else; it wasn’t really her thing, and though it was encouraged and kind of expected, she only trained when not needed in the hospital.
She’d never trained inside the pack she’d been born into, and Parker had expected her to stay inside the packhouse when there was an emergency that required the lockdown mode to be enacted.
So, she’d not trained inside his pack either.
Though setting off the lockdown mode inside the Lustrous Moon had seen a full band of female elite warriors be locked in with them, just in case something got passed Parker and his unit, his warriors.
Here in Hollowed Moon, everyone trained and one day a week she had to be out there to tend to the hard core elite warriors undergoing training with the Luna and Ben.
They taught pack members how to dislocate knees, shoulders, elbows, you name it, if it could be dislocated; it was.
She stood by the sideline and watched on standby to put things back into place and call it quits for some of the wolves, before they got injured to the point of not being able to recover.
Today was standard warrior training for her, and it would go for two hours, she didnt really like it or want to attend it.
She was a healer not a fighter, she’d once told Mala and Aston and gotten frowned at.
Freya did not join in the training, so there was no wolf training for her, though both Mala and Aston had words with her about that and Aston had tried to call Freya out in the beginning, which had not worked and Bella had just stared at him and shrugged it off, stated Not even my ex, Parker or his wolf Vex could call Freya out.
That had gained his attention, and he’d asked, did his wolf never mate yours? no, just me.
Freya wouldn’t let him, was not interested in being mated by Vex, her wolfen mate.
Never even shifted once around him or pushed forward to look at him, declined the open communication between them, even, no pack run just like here.
That is very odd, Bella, Aston had murmured.
Freya will do as she pleases, is as I like to say, a law unto herself.
He’d not been able to argue with it and so had left it alone over the years.
She was simply excused from wolfen training, though Freya was of the opinion there should be no need of wolves fighting other wolves, not for anything, she thought they should all get along and not covet things that didnt belong to them.
Parker
He got home to his pack to find his Luna not in it.
She had apparently accepted a modelling job in New York and left to go and do that.
And although it wasn’t unusual for her to go off and model in the human world.
She wasn’t supposed to do it when he wasn’t home, when his unit wasn’t there to protect the pack.
Carina had also not told him she was going to leave the pack; anything could bloody happen to it with none of the leadership there to help protect it and defend it.
He was more than annoyed by this.
Why was she so Goddess damned irresponsible at times? A part of him wanted to strangle her, and get rid of her even.
She was still that entitled she wolf at times from when he’d first met her, the one he’d not liked seeing.
Kanes Mate Katie greeted them, and she was the one to inform him that Carina had gone to New York.
He’d stared at her more than annoyed, and she’d apologised to him I couldn’t talk her out of it, Alpha.
Im sorry, I did try.
had been his only comment.
Katie knew he wasn’t mad at her, he didnt generally direct anger at those that didnt warrant it.
He’d motioned for Kane to bring the newly joined she wolves of his pack to his office for initiation.
Only a handful of them, four of those she wolves that had mated to his wolves, had wanted to stay with the Hollowed Moon and he’d allowed it.
Wolves would go where they wanted to.
In this day and age, he believed an agreement should be made between a newly mated pair as to where they would stay.
Not just expect the she wolves to move to their mates pack, equality was the best thing for his wolves.
He did not make anyone move to Lustrous Moon, or leave it either.
It was completely up to them, he had taken over many unhealthy packs around him, and had many packs to his name, five separate territories to Lustrous Moon, with elders he trusted residing and in charge of them.
Why there were none here in the mane pack, they were spread out to help lead the other territories.
They were all only small about 300 to 500 each and not so far away.
Unlike the main pack where he lived, which had 2000 wolves here now.
He also allowed his wolves to move between the packs, and when attending mating balls, the wolves that he took with him were equally chosen numbers from each of his subsidiary packs, so some from each pack could go and find mates.
None had to move to his main pack either they could situate themselves into one of the smaller packs around the main pack but all got initiated here and then moved off back to their packs.
His elders reported to him every afternoon, through a video conference.
Sometimes it was held here and at other times from his head office in Oklahoma City, and he could drive to all of them easily; the furthest away was only a three hour drive.
It was kind of like a big conglomerate with subsidiary companies.
It ran nowadays like a well oiled machine, and there were well trained warriors in each of the packs to hold down the fort until others could get there.
If one was attacked, attacking Alpha was risking everything.
because he had warriors from all his packs head there, and they were outnumbered quickly.
He, on his own, could send 1000 warriors to any given pack in his territories.
Pull a hundred from each subsidiary pack and send 600 from his central pack.
It was a deadly game to attack him.
Parker and one of his unit headed off to those smaller parts of his pack, to see how they were actually doing, on a regular basis, spend a few hours there training them, themselves and checking the pack members were happy, making sure they were healthy, and everyone had what they needed.
It could be time consuming and pulled him from his main pack.
