“We need her to return to our pack IF she is the white wolf” Eric calls out as he walks back to the SUV. “We will end up being at war with them over it if we can’t hand the white wolf over. Just think about it. You haven’t known her long enough to know she is basically worthless, call us when you are tired of her, and we will come back and get her”.
“That’s IT! Open the gate” my brother Tyler yells out as he changes into his white wolf.
They all pile into their SUV and start backing out as Tyler runs out to chase after their SUV. I go running after him, but he is now returning to the gate, and I see the SUV drive quickly over the hill and leave Dark Moon’s land. I am surprised to see him change back and still be fully clothed.
“How did you do that?” I ask him. “I want to learn how to do that too.”
“Dad showed me how to do this week, we can show you. I thought you would like that. It sure saves on clothing not being torn to shreds” Tyler said and pulls me into a hug. “We have all missed you so much, and I was so scared when you called me and said that you were being followed”
“Yes, he had Tate yelling at me to get moving right now as we all ran to the Jeep. I have never heard Tyler that scared before. Hi, I am Travis Young, I will be the Dual Beta with Tate. My dad is the current Beta for Dark Moon. I have heard a lot about you this week, and I am excited to meet you. Travis was about 6’3” with a broad chest. He had black hair and blue-grey eyes and had a cleft in his chin making him look a little like Superman. He was very handsome with his strong jawline and large biceps.
Tyler steps up between us, looks at Travis, and says “No. Do not even think of hitting on my sister. She has been through enough and isn’t ready for you to be pulling your “Prince Charming” act on her. Not going to happen, this is my sister and unless you end up being her second chance mate, you need to keep your hands, lips and well basically everything of yours away from her”.
Tate steps up and says “Yea, what he said. Leave her alone, you are just extra protection for her. Consider her a no-fly zone. You have not been cleared access”.
I start blushing and I hear my dad and mom start laughing behind us as my brothers straighten Travis out.
I reach my hand out and say, “there is always room for a new friend, but they are right, I won’t get my second chance mate until I accept the rejection from my original mate. But we can always be friends, you can never have too many of those”.
Tate yells out “Shotgun” and runs over to my Jeep laughing. Tyler just rolls his eyes and heads back to their black Jeep with Travis. Mom and dad head back to their SUV and we all head back to the packhouse.
The first impression of the packhouse is amazement, where Stone Moon was modern, the Dark Moon packhouse rose about 10 stories from the ground and was about double the size of the Stone Moon packhouse. The building had clean lines and had a strong and formidable appearance. It gave a quiet sense of strength but didn’t have all the glass and balconies that Stone Moon had. They would have beautiful views from the windows, but they weren’t floor to ceiling like at Stone Moon. I really did like my little balcony. I was planning on using it to layout this summer to try to get a tan.
“What do you think of our packhouse?” Tate asked me.
“It is beautiful and looks like a fortress” I reply.
