Something she had gutted years ago and redecorated to her liking.
He’d told her she had to explain herself or have the monetary sum returned to the pack by her father, because he would never have approved of sending money to that man all the time for nothing.
Carina had stared at him wide eyed at his words, but their fighting had started before that, over her return to Oklahoma on an economy class seat, because he hadn’t been willing to spend the money on a first class ticket for her when she’d spent all of her own money and found out he’d cut off her from pack funds.
She’d not even been able to afford a plane ticket home, not even an economy one, and had to call him.
Where she had demanded, not asked, that he purchase her a ticket back to the pack.
Which, of course, he had done, though the yelling from her to him while she was at the airport check in counter collecting her ticket, showed him that entitled side of her once more.
She’d been expecting a first class ticket, and it wasn’t, to which he’d stated simply Call the person you have given half a million dollars to over the course of our mate bond and have them purchase you a ticket then grated out Hidden from me that you did that, even Luna Ordered our accountant not to tell me.
she’d stopped yelling at that point and hung up.
She had actually come home to him on that economy flight, but then had stated to him, that sometimes her father needed money, and she just sent it to him.
It wasn’t like they couldn’t afford it, and he was her dad, and she wanted him to be happy and financially stable.
That’s where the money went.
That she never saw an issue with it, that her home pack was now floundering, and her dad needed money at times.
Though she’d not explained why she’d ordered Bryce not to tell him about the transactions, she had turned and walked away from him and muttered, this is why, because you never let me use money when I need it.
He’d grated out Are you f ***** g kidding me, you shop all the time.
she’d not stated anything, just kept stalking away from him.
Then she’d taken a modelling job in Canada and gone into heat up there while she was away, and had to suffer through it on her own, because she was too far away from the pack.
She’d been given drugs by one of the warriors that he’d sent with her, but she’d blamed him for not coming to her and sating her needs.
It had lasted for three days, and she’d had the hide to come home and tell him he was a brute of a Mate, yelled it right at him out in the packhouse foyer for all to hear.
He’d raised an eyebrow at her and stated calmly You knew it was due, every year around this time, your heat is like clockwork.
And it was, he’d told her as much before she left that it was due any day now, and not to go until afterwards.
And she’d stated, I’ll be back before then.
But had then taken herself off to another job in Vancouver and hadnt bothered to inform him about it.
His head warrior had called him and told him The Luna has taken another modelling job, were on the move to Vancouver, instead of coming home Alpha.
had been his only word on the subject, had sent those drugs to her hotel out there, if she was going to be away for her heat, willingly so, she could deal with the consequence of that herself.
He was rapidly getting over trying to stay in this bond with his Goddess Gifted Mate.
He’d already had to deal with her attitude with another model, and apparently not a human one, but an Alphas charge, and now there was footage of his Luna being an entitled b *** h to all there at the modelling shoot.
And he knew he was going to be dealing with the fall out.
He’d just about had enough of the woman that was his mate and he wondered just what it would take for him to reject his own Goddess Gifted to save himself the constant frustration, lies and anger, being screamed at and told he was a brute, the headache she caused him all the time and the public detriment she caused to his companies, and the pack as well.
She was now living on only funds she could bring in herself, and he made sure the pack accountant deducted that 10 %, and had him released from the Lunas order.
It wasn’t going down so well with Carina.
Now she was stalking about the pack, telling him Doing what Im paid to do, being your Luna.
He’d just stared at her and said nothing, but had kept those limitations on her pack card because the minute she realised it was accessible he knew she’d start shopping.
Her very materialistic needs were not being met, and it was rapidly pushing all her buttons.
He knew at some point he was going to be pushed past his limit, to have to choose between her and the pack, and it was likely he was going to reject her.
Though he didn’t think she was going to see it coming.
She thought there was nothing wrong with her attitude and the way she treated this pack, him even.
She was the Luna and could do as she pleased was her mindset.
Parker didn’t even care that she had been residing in the Luna suite for well over a month now.
Kind of liked the peace and quiet that he was getting from her not being in his suite and his office.
Though watching her stalk off ahead of him right that minute, in just a string bikini with a towel tossed over her shoulder had his interest and he understood it was just mate bond s*x he was looking for and nothing else.
They’d not had s * x in months; since that trip to New York she’d taken.
He thought about that.
Did he want to have dinner with her? No, he didn’t want that.
Did he want to go on a date with her out in the human world, like he knew she liked to do? She was a lot younger than he was, and liked going clubbing and out to fancy restaurants, being Photographed on his arm for the humans to see and talk about.
Again, the answer was no.
Parker sat in his office and thought about just that.
When was the last time he’d done any of that? He couldn’t even recall her asking him to take her out, though he did recall her doing that a month ago, being out with some wealthy human females.
She would only be seen with high society people.
He had his PR team check that; her public profile, when they’d last been seen together, it was over a year ago when they’d last been in public together.
Though she had been seen out to dinner in the human world only a week ago, seen at the latest nightclub opening, wearing the latest fashion she’d brought home from New York.
He’d gotten a letter from the Vancouver agency where she’d not bothered to turn up for her shoot; due to being in heat, not something she could tell them.
It stated she’d tagged along with another model, and talked the company into letting her shoot for them as well.
It was not a modelling job she’d been offered at all, and they’d not be working with Lustre Inc model in the future.
Their models were considered rude, demanding and unreliable.
This had seen her modelling career be put back into a bad spotlight.
Because that agency had talked to the press about her specifically, they wanted others to know what she was like.
It had also come out just after the tabloids had posted pictures of her from the shoot she’d been on directly before, that one of her shoving over a model.
If one went to the online tabloids page, there was actually footage of her ranting and raving, about do you not know who my husband is? As well as the actual footage of her shoving that model over.
One of his warriors was getting into it with whom he now knew to be an Alpha-blooded she-wolf, and those with her were all ranked members of another pack, including that model.
They had been scent masked and thought to be human at the time.
He was not going to do anything about it anymore, her career was now hers to deal with.
He’d not had the footage pulled down, and gotten an irate phone call from her father about him letting her reputation be ruined, to which Parker had stated Whats all the money she sends you for? and the man had hung up on him.
Parker
Now Carina was just stalking about the pack attending to Luna duties that were, from what he could tell, only the bare basics, because that was now apparently all she was there to do, be paid for and nothing more.
Though she’d never been paid for that, just had access to unlimited pack funds, as did all Lunas.
What was his was hers, as she’d once put it, though every time she stated the words my pack he corrected her, and she’d had the hide to scream at him at one point a week ago it is my pack, stop correcting me.
