Life’s Spiced Up with Some Werewolf Reads

Chapter 54 – Rejected My Jaded Love (Jade Devoe) Novel Online Free by KatVonBeck

We arrive at the marina and head to my dad’s slip. We enter the slip and I see the pontoon and I am amazed by the size of the Pontoon; it has a second level on it that has an awning that can swing out and cover the seated area of the second floor, and a fiberglass slide coming down from the second level and seats at least 16 people. It has tan seats and black trim and a ladder at the back between the two engines to climb back onto the pontoon. The top-level allows some of the bottom seats to be in the shade, with the front seats all in the sun for us to sit on or lay across to get some sun. This is a total party boat. My brother Tyler looks back at me and starts laughing at my expression, I know I look completely impressed by the boat. I grin back and say, “let’s get going”, I am so ready to go swimming. The girls are super excited, and the guys are impressed by the boat. It is super nice. We load the three coolers onto the boat, and we untie the boat and slowly start heading out of the marina. It is 1 pm and the lake is packed. I stand behind Tyler as he drives us to where he wants to float today on the lake.

I am smiling as we glide across the water, with the twin engines, we are moving faster than I thought we could in a pontoon. I see several boats come into view and I wonder where we are going. Tyler cuts down his speed and he glides the boat about 300 feet from a small-looking island. There are a lot of boats already there and he kept us a little further back from them as we were planning on swimming a little and totally using the slide. The guys open up the cooler and each grab a beer and I put the sandwich cooler into the big cooler to keep the sandwiches cold. All of us girls go upstairs and take off our clothes get down to our bikinis.

Jessica is wearing a small red suit that looks great with her tan complexion and dark hair and eyes. Bree is wearing a navy blue, bikini that helps showcase her beautiful dark blue eyes with white polka dots. The spaghetti straps tie behind her neck and it looks like it was made for her, and Nicole is wearing a strapless baby-blue bikini that totally makes her look like a Goddess, showcasing her hourglass figure. They all comment on my suit and tell me how cute I look in it. I know that they are worried about me, and my body image issues, and I love them even more for trying to keep my anxiety down.

Bree turns on the water line at the top of the fiberglass slide and lets the water run down it for a minute before sitting at the top of the slide. She slides down screaming her head off and we all start laughing, we are here to have a good time, and we all follow her down into the water all yelling out as well, Nicole, then Jessica, and then me. We gave it a short amount of time between us so that the previous person could swim out of the way before the next person comes down.

I come up for air and I hear some loud music coming from our boat. We end up floating and swimming around for about an hour until we get tired. We all swim over and get out of the water. Braxton had been jumping in doing flips from the lower level at the end of the boat. He, Dixon, Tate, and Travis all swam with us, and we had a good time. I asked Tyler where the music was coming from, and he pointed out all the hidden speakers on the boat. He also expanded the boat to make room for us to be able to dance. He turns down the music for us to be able to talk while we eat. I go grab the sandwiches from the cooler for our lunch. I had gotten six, foot-long sandwiches, and four 6-inch sandwiches, and we sit around eating and drinking and occasionally dancing before we go swimming again.

Tyler said that we were at the Sandbar. I noticed we had more boats around us now and heard Bree and Dixon both groan. I look at them and see that they are looking at a boat two down from us and that Mason and Brax are looking at it as well.

“what’s the problem, do you know them?” I ask Dixon.

“Yes, we recognize the boat, it’s my idiot brother and that slut, Ashley” Dixon replies.

“Let’s just ignore him and have fun,” I tell them. “They are like 50 feet away and they probably don’t even know that we are here. They all look drunk, and they are not paying attention to anyone else. Who wants to swim over to the Sandbar and walk around with me?” I have been more active since my weight loss, and I want to check out the sandbar, it looks pretty cool.

Bree, Nicole, and Jessica are immediately on board with going to the Sandbar. Tate, Travis, and Dixon said that they will come with us. Tyler said he would stay with the boat and Brax and Mason looked at each other and said that they would stay as well, I figured that they were probably going to be watching Asher. I already saw Dixon putting his cell up after sending off a text before he was ready to go. I don’t have to be a rocket scientist to know he busted Asher out.

I heard from Bree over a month ago that Asher had been told to stay away from Ashley after she had caused me the problem at school because she lied about what happened in the dining room. Ashley had gotten mad and went off on me at training because Asher told her he couldn’t be around her anymore. She was mad at me over it, like I caused it. I don’t have anything to do with either of them. I didn’t know why she was yelling at me, and I was very upset, and that was when Bree said that Asher had been told to not be around or “date” Ashley anymore. She said that Asher was supposed to stay away from her from now on and look for his mate. Obviously, he wasn’t looking, and apparently, he didn’t know that we were coming here either. Wait, holy crap, his parents did know he was coming here. I wonder if Mason and Brax were supposed to be looking out for Asher to see what he was doing while we were here? I am going to stay out of it, Ashley hates me already and I don’t need the added stress.

We jump off the boat and swim over to the sandbar, it was a nice little area and there were a lot of people there walking around and talking, looks kind of like a pick-up spot. A lot of fit people walking around checking each other out.

The guys got stopped by a group of attractive girls with suits small enough to be leaving nothing to the imagination. Bree and Nicole got stopped by two gorgeous guys and Jessica and I kept walking on just checking out the boats and people.

“Jessica, is that you?” I hear the nasal tone and I freeze. Please Goddess don’t let it be her.
