“What’s she doing here ?” Luthais asked the question that we were all thinking .
“Does it matter , she’s clearly crying out for our help .” Thane shouted , his face in distress .
“Thane’s right , let’s go !!”
Within seconds we were all shifting into our wolves , not waiting for any explanations as we raced to our sister .Whatever it was she needed , whatever help she was crying out for , we were going to give it to her !

AUSTIn’S POV:
“Are the packs ready ?” I asked Alex , taking one last look at the outlined plan in front of me .
He nodded . ” Everyone’s already here , they’re just waiting for your signal.”
“Okay .” I told him .”Let them know I’ll be out in a minute .”
“Yes Alpha .” Without another word he turned and left me to my own thoughts .
It’s been a rough day so far , one of the most difficult days of my life till date . I was torn between wanting to go after Lucy and bringing her back safely home and getting revenge for the injustice that was done to us both . no matter how much I wanted her here with me now , I didn’t want to have her back until I had punished every single person behind the spell that was put on me . nothing bothered me more than knowing I’d hurt Lucy because of it , at the same time I was pissed at myself for not recognizing her sooner , if my wolf had sensed it all along I should have as well . I let a damn spell separate me from my very own mate , the woman I loved . The woman I was supposed to lay down my life for and fill her own life with happiness . Instead I had only brought sorrow upon her , from our very first meeting till now , she had to suffer because of me .
With a mighty roar I pushed the table in front of me over , everything shattering onto the floor . I gave a frustrated sigh as I rested my head against the wall , forcing myself to remain calm . This was not the time for me to lose control , no, it was time for me to get revenge , for both Lucy and I . I owed it to both her and myself to let the people responsible for our pain to suffer for their evil deeds. And we were very close to getting that revenge , I’d spent the entire day getting the packs ready to invade Eric’s territory , we wanted answers and if the answers weren’t what we wanted to hear then a freaking war was going to break out , the friendship my parents shared with Alpha Eric all these years would be broken in but a few seconds .
I didn’t understand why but I felt very uneasy , my wolf felt it as well , it had me on edge and I knew this feeling had nothing to do with Lucy’s absence Something wasn’t right and I couldn’t put my finger on it , couldn’t explain the feeling within . It was as though my wolf sensed that we were in danger , could it be because of the upcoming confrontation with Eric and Ariana or was I missing something ?
James entered followed by Lucas and Maya , breaking my concentration on the matter . ” Everything’s set .” He told me .
His gaze wandered to the overthrown table on the floor before turning back to me . “Is everything okay ?” He asked , his eyes shadowed with concern .
I exhaled .” I just can’t f*****g believe I didn’t see all the signs before now I should have known .” I whispered more to myself than to him.
He placed his hand on my shoulder . ” Don’t beat yourself up over this , it’s in the past . You have to focus on getting Lucy back now . All that matters is that you realized that she was your mate even while under the spell , it took you longer than you would have liked but you still did and that’s what is important .”
Before I could respond ,a loud howl echoed throughout the quiet night .I instantly froze as I stared at the shocked , terrified looks plastered on each of my siblings faces .
“BREACH!”James roared , within seconds we were all shifting into our wolf forms and crashing out the pack house from all directions .
I took in my surroundings as soon as I was out in the open , the first thing I noticed was both packs all huddled in a corner trapped . There were wolves to the front , the back , the sides , all growling and closing in on us .
f**K!
We were surrounded .
There was a wolf to the front that was nearest to me, I recognized him as a wolf I’d faced in the past. He was the Alpha of the Reds Pack and we didn’t have a very pleasant last encounter. He charged forward and aimed his attack for me. I grabbed onto the Alpha’s neck and with one aggressive pull ripped his head off his body. That seemed to be the cue for the rest of packs who were against us to attack, for within seconds wolves were attacking from all directions. There was growling, yelping and ripping sounds echoing throughout the entire forest. If anyone was near, they would surely fear for their lives. The sounds were similar to that of a horror movie but even that wouldn’t be as bad as how it was now.
Damn it.
How many packs exactly were here? from the looks of it, each of these were packs I’d faced in the past. All of whom I’d defeated in the worst way possible. It was safe to say that they all held some sort of grudge against me.
Each time a wolf came at me, I finished him off within seconds. These wolves were not a match for me or my brothers …not even for my oppressors, they were all being wiped out with ease. I’d trained my pack for situations like these and I was damn proud of each of my members. They were fighting with everything I’d taught them and I would have been impressed if I wasn’t so caught up in everything happening all at once. The problem was the fact that there were many more wolves coming at us one after the next. Eventually our energy level would decrease, it would be difficult to fight that many all at once and not fall in the end.
I took a quick glance at all of my pack members. They were already growing tired, we were outnumbered by a great number.
How long would we be able to keep this up for?
As I continued to evaluate my surroundings and take a closer look at my opponents. Something seemed extremely off about this entire ambush, none of these alphas were capable of pulling of something like this or even putting a plan like this into motion. Whoever was behind this had to be plotting for years and had to hold some sort of high power So, who was it?
It was hard to follow through on that thought for wolves were coming at me one after the next, sometimes more than one at the same time.
I didn’t know how long we were fighting for , the sound of bones breaking was all I’ve been hearing for a long time now , I studied our surroundings , more wolves were still coming . My pack along with my brother’s pack was getting worn out , they were too much for us .
I watched in agony as I saw many of my pack and brother’s pack members fight to stand strong despite having more than one wolf on each of them . It wouldn’t be long before we fell , we couldn’t hold off all of them , it was impossible . So far I knew every single one of the wolves that attacked , what the f**k was going on here and why the hell hadn’t any of us seen this coming ?
Then it happened , everyone suddenly paused as a new pack joined the fight I froze for I recognized that pack instantly without even seeing their alpha .
Eric’s pack .
Eric stepped forward in his human form , surrounded by his entire pack who were in their wolf forms as his protection against me . So he was the whole mastermind behind this MOTHERfUCKER!
Was this his plan all along ? To get Ariana to use that spell on me so that she would be so close to me that she would be able to find out all of the packs that held grudges against me and then bring them all together to attack ?
How could I have been so f*****g stupid ? I’ve been defending the enemy for years now , thinking they were on my side when all along they’ve been plotting my own pack’s destruction . I was breathing hard as I glared at Eric and his pack , my wolf out for b***d .
Eric turned his gaze directly towards me and offered me an unapologetic smile . “Interesting , all that fighting and you haven’t lost a single one of your pack members yet .” He stated taking a look around at all of the dead bleeding bodies lying motionless around us with none of them belonging to any of my pack members nor my brother’s , we were badly injured and bleeding but none of us lost our lives and I prayed it stayed that way but it wasn’t looking good for us definitely not with Eric’s pack being here , his pack was just as dangerous as ours. ” We all know that’s because you haven’t faced my pack as yet .” He drawled .
I growled , my wolf ready to pounce on him , his emotions a mess with a mixture of rage , pain and confusion .
