She looked around the room and not only were Aston and Mala in here, but Simon, the packs Beta, as well as Parker and his entire unit.
Those four were all seated on one of the couches before Astons desk.
Mala was sitting in a single but comfortable tub chair, and she tapped the one next to her, when Bella smiled at her and greeted her, indicating that was where she was to sit, in this room.
Aston and Simon were both leaning casually up against Astons desk, facing them all, likely showing the room that his position was going to be a bystander.
That he was here to listen to all that was about to go on, and only actually intervene, if it he thought it was necessary.
It was likely that Mala was the one that was going to preside over this meeting they were about to have.
Which was why she was sitting here with her and Parker, his unit.
She also knew Aston liked watching his Luna in action.
Bella nodded to Parker and his unit as she sat down Hello.
She stated simply and saw Shannon tilt his head slightly.
She knew it was him as the actual Gamma, he was going to be switched on for this meeting.
And only now did Bella realise that he had been the same yesterday, had been all Gamma when talking to her, he’d walked over to her with Parker for a reason she now understood, to ask all those questions about children, understood with that tilt of his head right now that yesterday he’d been trying to sense her out, for Parker.
Ah ! She thought to herself, Parker must have seen Whit and the other children heading off to that birthday party, but hadn’t been face-to-face with him, likely only seen him in passing, and hadn’t been able to pick his child among the others from the orphanage that would have been with him.
Shannons questions had been on purpose to try and get her to think about Parkers child, she now realised.
She looked right at Shannon now.
I’m not your concern anymore, Shannon.
You dont need to feel me out.
She told him simply, I’m healthy and happy in my life here, in all of my life since I left Lustrous Moon.
Just in case, you need to know that as a Gamma.
She saw Mala look from her to Shannon and frown If I want a Gamma to feel out my pack member.
Mala interrupted them. I’ll call Charlie into this room.
Let it go Gamma.
Mala directed at Shannon.
She watched Shannon look to Mala, and Mala leaned forward slightly in her chair to stare at him, though there was a smile on her face.
You’ll want to listen to me, this is not your Alphas pack.
Mala stated, and Bella watched Shannon just nod, and sit back in his chair.
Though she doubted he had switched himself off completely as a Gamma, he was just not going to actively focus on her for the moment, likely sit there and feel out everything in this room instead.
Shannon had been a good Gamma to her, and she’d liked him as a person.
No one inside the Lustrous Moon had been mean or nasty to her.
Parkers unit had always been respectful and if she was having an off day, and Shannon picked up on it, he’d always asked her what was wrong and offered his charm up for the use.
Bella smiled at Mala, who leaned back and settled in her chair, before stating, Im here as your Luna, Bell.
In full capacity.
Bella nodded, she’d already been warned by Aston Thank you, Luna, but I doubt that will be at all necessary.
Im not concerned about things getting out of hand.
Or about anything coming from this meeting either.
she turned her eyes to Parker himself; he’d been watching her the entire time, she could feel his eyes on her, though he’d not interrupted them at all, likely assessing the situation, her mood, she supposed.
You wanted to speak with me, Alpha Parker? she asked him directly to get this meeting underway.
He stated, I scented out my own kin, yesterday.
He told her.
Did you? And what concern of mine is that? she asked right back.
I scented out a pure blooded pup.
He elaborated.
Again, why does that concern me? she didn’t understand why he was stating these things to her.
He already knew his and her child would be pure blooded, that the child would also be here, where she was; that was a given.
Belladonna? he sounded frustrated to her.
Parker? she raised an eyebrow at him now and sipped her coffee, showing him she was not going to play whatever this game was.
Oh, for the love of the Goddess, are you really just going to sit there and deny we have a child together? he sounded exasperated to her.
Her eyebrow raised even higher, No, but I also dont see the issue, why you are getting all worked up over it? and she actually didn’t see the issue at hand.
She shook her head slightly, still didn’t understand him at all.
Was he really going to play this game with her, to try and get Aston and Mala on his side? Play the I didn’t know card? You dont? he grated out, see any issue at all? Did you just think it would be all good? Youre leaving and taking my pup with you, and not telling me about it.
That not only made her frown but stare right at him now, not tell him.
He’d been informed.
It seemed that he was going to play the dumb card in the hope Aston, being an Alpha, would side with him, she supposed.
Only he didn’t know Aston and Mala actually knew the entire truth.
They had insisted on not only knowing everything, but seeing everything when she’d come here, her mating alliance, separation agreement, and they’d had that scroll from Gretta, so that they knew what to expect where Whit was concerned.
She’d not hidden anything.
Didn’t need to.
A snort of amusement came from her, and she heard both Aston and Mala actually chuckle softly, which only seemed to annoy Parker even further.
That child would be the heir to my pack Belladonna.
Parker stated, And you just disappeared without a trace, took the child with you and away from me.
Bella leaned all the way back in that chair, and made herself comfortable, as she wondered if maybe he’d hit his head, or gotten into, one too many pack wars and had some sort of brain injury that had created memory loss.
He did actually sound annoyed and frustrated about this, did sound to her as though he had no knowledge of their agreement.
She moved her eyes along his unit.
They were all sitting watching her as well, looked to her like they also were waiting for the answers to Parkers questions.
Though Mina had informed her no one inside that pack knew about their son, that Parker had kept it under wraps from them all.
Now she thought he’d clearly not even told his unit.
