“Say my name.”
“Killian. Please. Killian.”
My orgasm ripped through me like a storm and I screamed. My walls clamped around him.
“Shhh… don’t let them find out.” He covered my mouth with his and kissed me roughly while he slammed deeper.
He groaned. Lost control, and came inside me again. He stayed deep. Riding it out.
Then it ended.
He collapsed on top of me and then rolled off. He pulled me closer to him and kissed my hair.
“You’re sweet,” he said, nuzzling my hair and breathing in my scent.
“Don’t marry her,” I found myself saying as I held him close and placed a soft kiss on his bare chest. “Please. Be with me. I’ll be anything. Your secret. Your side girl. Just… just don’t marry her.”
He was silent.
“Killian. I have something to tell you…” I began, wanting to tell him about the baby.
But before I could even speak, he stood up and pulled on his pants. Sweat dripped down his chest.
“Killian***”
“Don’t,” he cut me off. “Don’t say anything.”
“It’s… it’s important***”
“Nothing is more important right now than marrying her,” he said.
“Why..?” I asked, my voice cracking.
He looked at me. His expression was icy and cold. No trace of what just happened.
“Don’t ask me why. You won’t like the answer.”
And then he left, slamming the door behind him. I lay there. My legs open. My body used. My heart shattered.
Tears streamed down my face.
He had used me. Again.
Why did I let him?
Why? Just why..?
I dragged myself to the bathroom and scrubbed my skin raw, but the ache between my legs stayed.
I stared at the mirror. My eyes were red. My hands were shaking. I placed a trembling palm on my stomach. On the soft curve that didn’t show yet… but soon would.
His baby.
“I’m sorry, baby,” I whispered, my voice breaking. “Your mother is such a fool.”
More tears streamed down my cheeks, but this time I wiped them away.
No. I wasn’t going to let this keep happening.
I wouldn’t let him use me whenever he pleased.
If I stayed, I’d let him ruin me again.
But if I left, if I disappeared, he wouldn’t be able to find me.
I dried myself off and walked back into my room. My body felt sore. My heart was empty, but I moved anyway.
I opened my closet, pulled out a duffel bag and started packing. I threw in a few clothes, some cash and every necessity I needed.
I had to run. I had to leave.
Killian didn’t love me. He was obsessed with my body, with control, but not me.
He didn’t want me.
And he definitely didn’t want this baby.
How would I face Dad when the pregnancy began to show?
How could I look Mom in the eyes?
How would I tell them I was carrying Killian’s baby?
This family would be destroyed because of our mistake.
Dad would blame himself. Mom would blame her son. The life they’ve built… would crumble.
And I couldn’t do that to them.
No. No. I couldn’t keep staying here. Not like this.
I had to leave.
For my baby.
For our future.
So I did.
I didn’t say goodbye.
I didn’t leave a letter.
I just left.
