Chapter 63 – Deceiving my Big Bad Alphas (Kai Savage) Novel Free Online Free by Nina P

He held up his hands. “Hey, just saying. You’ve got that look. The murder one.”

“He touched her.”

“Yeah. He won’t again.”

I stared at the hallway. I could hear the water still running. I pictured her in there, naked, vulnerable. Bruised.

And I saw red.

Dalton sighed. “You want to check on her or should I?”

“She’s ours.”

“So both?”

I nodded.

He grinned.

“You know what I’m looking forward to?”

“What?”

“The day we both mark her and watch her lose her mind.”

My jaw clenched.

“You think she’ll beg?”

“She’ll scream.”

Onyx growled his agreement, low and savage.

I finally pushed off the counter and walked toward the bathroom.

Less than a week. And I’d be done waiting.

Done circling.

Done holding back.

She was mine.

And soon, the whole fucking world would know it.

KAI POV

The hot water beat down on my back like a lover’s touch-soft, insistent, all-consuming.

Summer purred in satisfaction, curling in my chest like a smug cat in a sunbeam. ‘He adjusted the water temperature perfectly. Do you realize that? Perfectly’

I sighed, pressing my forehead against the cool tile. ‘Yes, I realized that.’

‘And he tried to wash your back. With his eyes shut. That’s love, babe. Or at the very least, hardcore devotion.’

I groaned.

Dalton had knocked softly before slipping into the bathroom like a shadow, his voice tender and low as he offered help while I stood frozen under the spray. And before I could snap a sassy remark or throw shampoo at his head, he’d already reached in, found the loofah, and started washing my back.

Gently.

His movements were slow. Considerate. Almost reverent. But the way his breath hitched when he touched the curve of my spine? That wasn’t respect. That was restraint.

And Goddess help me-it was hot.

There was tension humming between us like a livewire, each delicate circle he traced down my back pulling tighter, tighter. Summer practically rolled over and showed him her belly.

I was this close to doing the same.

My skin was alive under his touch, my breath hitching in time with his. The steam curled between us like a third entity, thick with need and unspoken words.

‘You’re head over heels for both of them, Summer said, practically giddy.

‘Shut up.’

‘No, really. Head. Over. Freaking. Heels. You’ve forgotten the cameras. The cocky entrances. The fists.’

I paused mid-rinse, hands tangled in my hair. ‘Okay, I definitely haven’t forgotten the fists.’

‘Maybe. But you moaned when he touched your back. That’s not normal’

I-don’t-feel-the-mate-bond’ behavior, human.’

I dunked my head under the stream of water before answering. My heart was pounding far too hard for this conversation.

And then, as if the universe decided to laugh in my face, Dalton’s voice filtered through the open door again. “I could help wash your hair?”

My knees nearly gave out.

He didn’t wait for an answer-just stepped close enough to lather shampoo between his fingers. The heat of his palms met my scalp, and suddenly my bones were jelly. His fingers moved in slow, divine circles, massaging as if I were something precious.

No one had ever washed my hair before. Not like this.

It felt… intimate.

Too intimate.

I would’ve melted into the tile if my hormones didn’t choose violence.

His knuckles brushed the nape of my neck and all my blood sprinted south. The way he touched me-careful, focused, possessive-it wasn’t helping. My arousal was in overdrive. The heat of the shower was nothing compared to the inferno he was lighting under my skin.

“Thank you,” I gasped. “I’ve got it from here.”

He hesitated. His fingers froze in my hair.

“You sure?”

“Yes. I’m good. Please go. Now.”

Because if he didn’t, I was going to throw him against the wall and ride that delicious, hard-earned boner he was trying so nobly to ignore.

Now was not the time.

The door clicked shut behind him.

I rinsed quickly, heart hammering.

‘Didn’t feel the same without him, Summer mumbled, sulky.

‘Yeah, no shit, hoe, I muttered, turning the shower off and groping blindly for a towel.

My fingers found one. I wrapped it around myself.

It smelled like sex wrapped in my favorite dessert and danger.

Derrick’s towel.

I froze.

‘Bliss,’ Summer sighed, practically swooning.

‘Nope,’ I said, firmly. ‘Nope. We’re not doing this.’

I dried off fast, trying not to huff his scent like a drug addict. Then I pulled on an oversized t-shirt from one of my brothers. It hit mid-thigh, soft and worn and comforting. A barrier between me and the chaos of tonight.

I am strong.

I will not fall at their feet.

I will not open my legs.

I am strong.

I-Oh, Goddess, who am I kidding?

This wasn’t just attraction anymore.

I padded barefoot into the room, towel in my hair, pretending to be unaffected.

Derrick and Dalton were deep in conversation-until they weren’t. Their heads snapped toward me, jaws tightening in perfect sync. The tension in the room tripled.

And just like that, I felt watched.

Hunted.

Not in a bad way.
