And the moment we got into the car and the door shut, I collapsed.

“It’s not fair!” I screamed, punching the seat with everything I had left. “Why me?! Why won’t he tell me?! Why did he lie to me,

Killian?! My whole life has been a damn lie, and now that I want the truth, he hides behind I’m trying to protect you! He’s not even trying to explain! I feel lost! I feel so damn lost, Killian!”

He didn’t say anything. He didn’t need to. He pulled me into him, let me cry into his chest, held me like I was the most fragile thing in the world.

“I’m sorry,” he whispered into my hair. “I’m so sorry, Liana.”

He drove me to his hotel, held my hand the whole way. Didn’t say much. He knew I needed space. He knew I needed silence.

When we got to the room, I didn’t even make it to the bed properly. I sank to the edge, my legs weak, my throat sore, my heart aching in a way I had never known.

Killian sat beside me, pulling me into his arms, stroking my hair gently.

“You’re safe here,” he whispered, his lips brushing my forehead. “I promise, you’re safe.”

LIANA’S POV

Killian sat beside me, brushing his fingers lightly over my arm. He didn’t say much.

“Have you eaten today?”

I shook my head slowly, still staring at the sheets.

“Are you hungry now?” he asked, softer this time. had stopped, but the feeling in my

I nodded, still curled up. My voice was stuck somewhere in my throat, but I was hungry. Just not for food.

He let out a breath, gentle and warm. “Okay,” he said, standing up slowly. “I’ll go grab something from the café downstairs. It won’t take long. Just rest.”

As he turned, I suddenly reached out and grabbed his hand. “Not that kind of food,” I said.

He paused, confused. “What do you mean?”

Before he could finish that thought, I pulled him back down and slammed my lips onto his. a desperate hungry kiss.

Killian stiffened for a second, surprised. But his hand came up to cup my face, and for a moment, he kissed me back.

Then he pulled away gently.

“Liana,” he breathed. “Baby, you need to eat. Real food. Not… this.”

I looked at him, my chest rising and falling. “But I want this. I want you.”

His eyes softened, but he shook his head. “Let me just get you something. Give me a few minutes. I swear, I’ll give you whatever you want after that.”

As he stood up and started buttoning his shirt again, I reached out and grabbed his hand. “Don’t go.

“Liana-“

I pulled him back again and kissed him harder this time. I pinned his hands to the bed, leaning over him, my fingers tugging his shirt open again, button by button.

Killian blinked up at me, caught off guard. “What are you doing?”

“Don’t go. Just… Just fuck me,” I said. “Please, I want to forget everything.”

He swallowed hard. “And I really do want to give you that. I do. But you’ve barely eaten. Your body needs more than this right now.”

I didn’t want to listen. I kissed him again, slower this time, dragging my lips over his.

He groaned into the kiss but pulled back one more time, brushing my hair out of my face.

“Give me five minutes,” he said. “Five. I’ll be back with food. Then I’m all yours.”

I sighed, giving in. “Fine. Five minutes.”

He smiled, kissed my forehead, grabbed his card, and left the room.145I stared at the door for a while. My stomach twisted. I didn’t want to be alone. Not now, when I was still hurting.

Five minutes passed.

Then ten.

He still wasn’t back.

Something inside me started itching. Restless. I got up, adjusted my cloth and slipped into the hallway. I took the elevator down to the lobby, hoping to see him near the café.

But he wasn’t alone.

I saw him standing near the bar.

He was smiling. Laughing at something a woman said. She was beautiful. Tall. Blonde. Dressed like someone who didn’t need to try hard to get attention. She had her hand on his chest.

He didn’t push her away.

I stopped walking. My heart dropped. My hands went cold.

She leaned in, said something in his ear. He chuckled.

And just like that, possession seeped inside my soul.

I didn’t even think. I started walking, fast.

I reached them in seconds and without hesitation, I slid my hand around Killian’s arm and pulled him close, holding onto him possessively.

The woman blinked, stepping back slightly. “Uh… Killian? Who’s she?”

He turned, his mouth opening to say something but I beat him to it.

“He’s mine.”
