“I would totally date you beautiful, except Tyler would kill me”. Travis said as he glances over at Tyler and smiles before continuing, “I think you are absolutely gorgeous, both inside and out. If I had been your second chance mate, I would have stepped up and claimed you immediately. You are a great girl, and you deserve a great love to go along with it.” Travis tells me and smiles over at me.
“I wish I had been your second chance mate too Jade. You are one of my favorite people and you have been through too much already. I wish the Goddess had done me that favor, but she gave you to Asher. There has to be a reason for that. Maybe that is why I feel strongly towards you, as the Beta I am supposed to be close to and protect the Luna. I will speak to him and get him straightened out, but it did look like he was sad when we left. Ashley pulled his head down while he was distracted looking at you, he didn’t actually kiss her. We should wait and let him speak to you tomorrow and see what he has to say for himself. I am not excusing his behavior, but he did look sad when you left. Maybe you are what he needs to change back into the Asher that we knew. He has completely changed from when he left our pack until now. I know his parents, and his siblings are both worried about him as well. He has become an uncaring asshole and he needs someone wonderful like you to set him straight and help him run the pack.
“Why didn’t he stop last night to speak to me? If he cared so much, why did he bring that lying slut with him? I don’t know yet if I can forgive him. Each one of you knows what I have been through these last few months. How my mate decided I wasn’t worth it and rejected me. I am thankful for all I went through because it brought me to all of you, but he has to know my background as well, why wouldn’t he have sought me out? Came back the next weekend to meet me? There has to be a reason for that.” I say to the group.
I see Mason and Braxton look at each other and I know that they know something.
“What? What is the problem?” I ask them.
“I don’t really want to say, I think he was just talking a bunch of crap because he was upset and intoxicated, so I really don’t want to say anything, because he needs to be here to be able to defend himself”. Braxton tells me.
“Just say it, I already knew he didn’t want to claim me for the last month and a half for whatever reason, just go ahead and say it, Braxton,” I tell him.
“Well, he was upset because Dixon was mad at him over you and so was Bree over the stuff from the school concerning you, and then she said if she had to, she would beat Ashley up on your behalf. He was jealous because they both defended you and took your side in it and he didn’t feel like he had done anything wrong, he felt like you had lied, and not Ashley, because he didn’t know you or your character. Then when we got upset with him after you had been brought back up in conversation, we defended you as well, and he was a little rude about you being overweight because he was so jealous of all the important people in his life taking your side. He had been drinking because he was sad, jealous, and upset. And we have all said things when we were upset that we may not mean later on. He didn’t even know you and wasn’t here for the incident to know who was telling the truth.” Braxton says.
I hear Tyler and Tate start to growl. Hell, I want to growl too. I know he is trying to whitewash it because Asher is his friend too and he doesn’t want me to be upset, but I am suddenly angry. He didn’t want me because I was fat. Maybe I don’t want him because he sleeps around. I really don’t want an STD the first time out of the gate.
I am trying so hard to control my anger right now. My sister who has been through so much, just cannot catch a break. What the hell, that jerk KNEW she was his mate for almost a month and a half and didn’t even try to approach her? What the Hell? It seems like he is going to reject her now too. Why? She is absolutely the BEST. He doesn’t deserve her. My wolf Hunter is chomping at the bit to come out. I have met Asher before he is almost 2 years older than me and about to complete his Alpha Training. He wasn’t a jerk when I met him, but today on the boat when I noticed Braxton and Mason watching him over on the Stone Moon boat. We had spoken about Asher, and what all he was doing.
Mason spoke about the complete 180 that Asher did after going to Alpha Training and letting the stress get to him. He was dating human girls as his parents didn’t want him sleeping with girls from the pack. That makes sense because when the actual Luna gets there as the official Luna, she can have problems with the rejected she-wolves. He isn’t thinking correctly, and it is obvious that he and the other Alpha’s on that boat were drunk, and it is very hard to get a wolf drunk. But as he is making his bed, he has to sleep in it.
But now my sister is involved in this, and I will NOT allow him to just sleep with her and leave her. He needs to commit only to her and not allow any other’s girls in his life other than his mom and sister of course. He didn’t notice us watching him because we were in the lower area of the pontoon and were in the shade, so you had to look to see us, but he had his hands all over the girl he was with, and she was also touching him in a very familiar way. I remembered her from the incident in the dining room with Jade when she was completely ugly to Jade for no reason. She just came to find us as we were meeting in the dining room. Just goes to show that you need to know someone before you become involved with them. Ashley was gorgeous, absolutely beautiful in the face, and had a great body, but she was mean as a snake and hateful on top of it. I truly feel sorry for whoever she gets her hooks in because they have no idea what they are getting themselves into. She completely changed up what had actually happened and made herself the victim, in the incident. Jade never tried to retaliate, she just wanted it to go away, and unfortunately for my sister, that is not how it works.
I am worried for Jade as now that Ashley girl will be coming after her again. I don’t want to leave her in danger so I am going to have to make sure Bree, Dixon, and Nicole can keep an eye out for Jade when she goes back to school. Ashley wants that Luna position, and she won’t give it up easily.
I call mom and dad on my cell because it was easier to hear when we speak. You can use it to call out for help or announce something to the whole pack like Rogues are coming, but to speak to two people I need to call them. That way I can hear what they are saying when either one of them speaks. Dad picks up and I ask if mom is around. They are already in bed, and I tell dad to put me on speakerphone.
