Life’s Spiced Up with Some Werewolf Reads

Chapter 73 – Abandoned Luna Now Untouchable (Cecilia & Sebastian) Novel Free Online by Lila

Wait… did he honestly think I did it on purpose?

Did he truly believe I had the nerve to flirt with him like that?

Was he questioning my very will to live?

Both Beta Sawyer and Lian looked utterly baffled, completely lost in our strange exchange.

Alpha Sebastian wiped his mouth with a napkin and said, “Celina, you didn’t come up here just to say good morning and explain your… finger slip, did you?”

His hand hovered near his phone, fingers tapping lightly on the table in a steady rhythm that made my heart race wildly.

Did he know I’d come to destroy the evidence?

I set down the strawberry mousse cake I’d been clutching nervously.

“This cake is delicious. I brought it for you guys. I don’t have anything else to discuss. Goodbye,” I said firmly, turning to leave immediately.

“Where do you think you’re going?” Alpha Sebastian called after me. “Since you’re already here, come back.”

I froze mid-step, then reluctantly turned around and walked back toward them.

He asked Lian to open the cake box and bring it over. Sebastian took a small bite, then pulled out his phone and began taking pictures.

After a moment, he clicked his tongue. “Celina, come help me take some photos.”

Beta Sawyer and Lian exchanged even more confused looks.

I could sense Sebastian’s mischievous plan unfolding. The sly aura radiating from this alpha capitalist was almost tangible.

As I took his phone, a sudden idea struck me-wasn’t this the perfect chance to erase the message?

Without any proof left, I could deny ever sending it for the rest of my life.

I quickly opened his WhatsApp.

A soft, deceptively gentle voice beside me made my skin crawl. “Be careful, Celina. Don’t accidentally delete anything with another slip of your fingers.”

I stiffened, forcing out, “Yes, of course.”

Obediently, I deleted the message without hesitation.

One finger slip or two-what difference did it make?

They were all finger slips.

After erasing that terrifying chat history, a small sense of calm settled over me.

I snapped a few random photos and handed the phone back. “All done.”

Alpha Sebastian took it and suddenly Beta Sawyer looked like he’d seen a ghost.

Curious, I asked, “What’s wrong?”

Beta Sawyer covered his face with one hand, as if unable to bear the sight, then extended his phone toward me. “See for yourself.”

When I glanced at the screen, I was left speechless.

Alpha Sebastian had posted a grid of nine strawberry cake photos with no caption-except for a tiny yellow emoji: a shy face with closed eyes and a gentle smile.

Normally, it was a perfectly ordinary emoji, but coming from Alpha Sebastian… it felt completely out of place.

What on earth was he shy about?

Sebastian stood and said, “Let’s go to the office,” then walked out.

Beta Sawyer and I followed silently.

In the elevator, I stood behind him, staring at his broad back.

I realized my understanding of my new boss was far too narrow and shallow. Beneath his cold, aloof exterior, he could be quite the prankster.

And he clearly had zero concern for anyone’s sanity.

Beta Sawyer, still puzzled by the emoji, leaned close to Sebastian’s ear. “Alpha Sebastian, I think you might have used the wrong emoji. That one means shy.”

He added, “Like, girlish shyness.”

Sebastian replied, sounding utterly indifferent, “Is that so? Must’ve slipped.”

My eyes widened in disbelief.

Excuse me?

Must’ve slipped?

No way. Absolutely not.

He did that on purpose.

He’d been waiting for me to see it.

He was-he was-

Unhinged.

Beta Sawyer tried again, lowering his voice.

“I can help you change it, if you want.”

“I don’t need to change it,” Sebastian said firmly.

Beta Sawyer opened his mouth to argue but shut it immediately when Sebastian shot him a look sharp enough to cut steel.

By then, I was certain my soul had left my body.

He was completely, utterly insane.

On the way to the office, Beta Sawyer and I remained silent, like accomplices in a high-stakes escape.

Meanwhile, Sebastian’s social media post was causing chaos.

The man never posted anything. Ever.

So when he suddenly shared photos of strawberry cake-complete with a shy-face emoji-people lost their minds.

Comments flooded in.

Direct messages poured nonstop.

His phone buzzed relentlessly, lighting up like a Christmas tree, especially with messages from his siblings.

“Bro, if you’ve been kidnapped, type 1.”

“If you’re dating someone, type 2.”

“If you’ve completely lost it, type 3.”

Sebastian blocked them all and silenced his phone.

At the Silver Peak Pack residence, Alpha Yardley was just getting into his car when Luna Regina grabbed his sleeve.

“We need to talk about our son.”

Alpha Yardley froze. Her tone was serious, not playful.

“…What is it? Did he finally run off with that Locke boy?”

Luna Regina gave him a sharp look and swatted his arm. “Oh, stop it. Get your mind out of the gutter.”

She pulled out her phone and tapped the screen. “Look.”

She held it up-a photo of a strawberry cake, perfectly plated with bright pink icing, captioned with a shy smile emoji.

She let the implication hang in the air.

Alpha Yardley squinted. “Did he bake that?”

“No,” Luna Regina said, eyes sparkling. “But he posted it. With a shy smile emoji. Sebastian doesn’t do hearts. I’m telling you, a girl made him do it. And if he’s willing to post it…”

Alpha Yardley blinked. “A girl, huh?”

Leaning back against the car door, his lips twitched.
