Life’s Spiced Up with Some Werewolf Reads

Chapter 86 – My Alpha Stepbrother’s Dirty Secret (Killian & Liana) Novel Free Online

I moved closer and sat beside him, watching him play, and for a moment I just stared at him, completely in awe. This was my son. My actual son. And the more I looked at him, the more I saw myself. It was like looking into a mirror from years ago. The way his nose scrunched up when he concentrated, the way his brows furrowed slightly even when he was happy, the exact same way mine did. He didn’t look anything like Liana, which was strange but also beautiful. He was mine.I reached out and took his tiny hand in mine, gently lifting it and placing a kiss on his soft knuckles. And before I even realized it, a tear slipped down from the corner of my eye.

Ryan looked up instantly. “Daddy, why are you crying?”

I wiped my face quickly and ruffled his hair. “It’s nothing, buddy. Nothing.”

But that was a lie. It wasn’t nothing. It was everything.

Because I remembered the day five years ago when my doctor sat me down and told me I wouldn’t be able to have children. That something had gone wrong, some infection I never even knew about that had scarred me permanently. I remembered sitting there in silence, not even reacting, because the pain was so much it just froze me.

I hadn’t told anyone. Not my mother. Not even Logan or Steve. No one. I couldn’t even speak about it. It was too painful. Like admitting it out loud would make it more real. So I buried it, locked it up deep, and tried to move on like it didn’t matter. Like I didn’t need to be a father.

But I did. God, I did.

So when I found out that Liana had a child, my child, from that night we shared seven years ago, I thought I was hallucinating. I thought it was some sick trick the universe was playing on me. But it was real. He was real. Ryan was mine. and every day since, I’ve thanked the gods that Liana didn’t abort the pregnancy. That despite how much of an asshole I was back then, she kept him. She carried him. She gave birth to him. She raised him. and she gave me the one thing I thought I would never, ever have.

I pulled Ryan into my arms and kissed his head.

“I love you, Daddy,” he whispered as he hugged me back. and it broke me.

“I love you too, little man. More than anything.’

My eyes stung, but I refused to cry again in front of him.

Liana didn’t understand. She didn’t see it yet. She thought Cynthia was better. She thought she wasn’t enough. She thought I still wanted Cynthia. That I regretted choosing her. But what she didn’t know was that I would choose her a thousand times over. That if I had to kill everyone in this world just to keep her beside me, I would. She didn’t know that every time she pushed me away, it made me more desperate to pull her closer.

She was mine. In every way. She had always been mine. From the moment I touched her. From the moment I saw her eyes light up that night. From the second she moaned my name like I was the only man that ever existed.

She didn’t understand what she meant to me.

She gave me Ryan. She gave me life. She gave me something I thought I would never have. That woman, my mate, my love, my pain, she was everything.

I looked down at Ryan who was now back to playing with his toy on the floor. I wanted to be there for him. I wanted to be the father he deserved. I wanted to watch him’ grow, teach him how to ride a bike, scold him when he breaks a vase, take him to school, help him with his homework, hold him when he’s crying over his first heartbreak. I wanted to be there for all of it.

And I wanted her.

Even if she didn’t love me back yet, I would love her enough for both of us.My love was enough.

And leaving her wasn’t a fucking option. Never was. and never will be.

KILLIAN’S POV

Just as I stepped out of Ryan’s room, my phone buzzed again, and this time it wasn’t just a notification, it was a message from Logan, and all it said was: What the fuck did you do, Killian?!

I didn’t even get the chance to reply before my phone started ringing. I answered, pressing the phone to my ear, already bracing myself. I barely got a word out while his voice came crashing through, loud and furious.

“What the fuck did you do, Killian?! You divorced her?! How?! Why?! And you didn’t think to inform me or ANY of us first?!”

I rubbed a hand down my face, “Logan-“

“Don’t even start!” he snapped, cutting me off. “Do you know it’s all over the fucking internet, Killian? Cynthia didn’t even waste a second. The company’s stock is crashing, the council was livid, and guess what? You’re almost getting eliminated from the fucking campaign. We’re hanging by a thread here and you… you didn’t even think to give a damn heads-up!”

I felt as if the ground beneath me shifted.

“Wait-what do you mean it’s all over the internet? What exactly did she do?!”

“She told the entire fucking world that you’re in an incestuous relationship with your sister. That’s what she did.”

I froze.

“WHAT?!”

I ended the call without another word and opened my browser with trembling hands. My heart was beating so fast I could feel it in my throat. I typed in my name and the first headline that popped up made my blood run cold:

MULTI-BILLIONAIRE KILLIAN WOLFE EXPOSED IN SHOCKING INCEST SCANDAL!

In a shocking revelation, sources close to the Wolfe family have confirmed that Killian Wolfe, CEO of Wolfe Enterprises was allegedly involved in an incestuous affair with his sister, Liana. Divorce filings surfaced earlier today showing that Wolfe legally separated from his socialite wife Cynthia Stone. In a tell-all interview, Cynthia claims the divorce stemmed from Wolfe’s ongoing affair with his sister, whom he allegedly fathered a child with in secret. Neither party has issued an official statement yet, but insiders say the fallout within Wolfe Enterprises has been immediate, with shares already dropping by 12% within minutes of the scandal breaking.¶¶

I dropped my phone.

I couldn’t even breathe properly. My hands were shaking, and my vision was blurry for a second. I held on to the wall to keep myself from collapsing.

Fuck. Fuck. FUCK!

She really did it.

She fucking did it.

Cynthia knew exactly what to say to destroy me, and she said it. Of course she did. She waited until the exact moment when she had nothing left to lose. And she didn’t care who she hurt in the process. She just wanted to burn everything to the ground, and I gave her the damn matchstick.

I needed to fix this. Now.

I couldn’t let Liana see this. I couldn’t let Ryan grow up with this shit attached to his name. I had to fix it before my entire world went to hell.

I rushed down the hallway, ignoring everything and everyone. My mother called out from the kitchen.

“Killian, food is ready. Come eat first-“

“Later,” I barked, barely turning to look at her.

I slammed the door behind me, yanked my keys from my pocket, and jumped into my car. I didn’t even care where I was going. I just knew I had to get to my team, get to Logan, get to whoever the hell could stop this mess before it buried me alive.

Because Cynthia didn’t just ruin my image, she was trying to rip Liana apart with this. And I swear, if even one hair on Liana’s head was harmed because of this, I’ll make Cynthia regret the day she ever crossed me.

LIANA’S POV

After I got out of the room and took a long, hot bath that did absolutely nothing to calm the ache in my chest, I changed into something more comfortable and came downstairs, still trying not to think as if it would help about the way Killian had looked at me before he left. I didn’t know what I was expecting to see when I walked into the living room while holding my breath, but the moment I did, my stepmom glanced up from where she was setting the table and gave me that look, that mom look that says, “I know something’s wrong even if you try to pretend otherwise.”

“Did you and Killian fight?” she asked as casually as she could, but I could already hear the concern under her voice.

I opened my mouth to say yes, to admit that it wasn’t just a fight but a full-blown emotional disaster that ended with me saying things I didn’t fully mean, but before I could say anything, she added, “Because he stepped out angrily… like, really angrily.”

I paused, caught off guard. “He did?”

She nodded slowly, her brows slightly pinched. “He looked really tense. Didn’t say a word to anyone. Just grabbed his keys and left.”

Something inside me twisted. I didn’t think he’d be that upset. I mean, yes, I knew I hurt him with what I I said, but he was always so good at hiding his feelings behind that cold, confident exterior. I didn’t know it would hit him that hard.
