“It is exactly what I meant. All of the people who I have rescued I take to the rogue pack.” I say and he just nods his head.
“LeeAca.. How do you know Keerian ?” He asks and I grow more irritated.
“Go and ask him. Why are you even following us?” I ask and he sighs but keeps his pace with me. “Fen? Do you think we are too hard on him?” I ask her and she huffs.
“I don’t know. We need to protect ourselves and this is the only way to do it.” She says. This surprises me because it is the first time she has not openly stated that her mate can go to hell and she doesn’t want them. I spend the rest of the walk in silence, focusing on all other’s emotions but my own. Once we reach the pack we are greeted by the Alpha and Luna. We take them to the building we have built for the rescues. It provides a cot, clothes, food and water. Once we get everybody settled. I start to choose the people that need more help. Alarick is standing to the side of the room speaking with the Alpha and Keenan. They all leave me alone in this process.
When all is said and done I have 9 people that I lead out of the building and down to the cells. Some of them are already anxious as they see where they are going. After I put them in their cells I stand in the middle of the room so they can all see me.
“Alright. I have brought you all here because I can tell that you are on the verge of losing control.” I say and they all look towards each other. “Now. I am here to help. I have trained multiple people on how to best help you. Some of you have given up though and it is understandable.” I say as I look at different people.
“How would you know what we are going through if you were only there for not even a day.” One man says to me.
“When I was 18 I was captured and tortured for 3 and a half years. Since then I have been committed to helping others like me. Freeing those in the same situation I was. SO far I have taken down 7 other hunter labs and this is number eight.” I say and some gasp. “Now. I need to know. DO you want to live, or do you want to die?” I ask them all and look towards each of them, reading their emotions.
“What.. What are you going to do to us?” A woman asks.
“I will commit the sin for you, so that you will be able to spend eternity in heaven with the moon goddess.” I say to her and she starts crying.
“You would do that for me?” She asks. I can feel her sadness, her willingness to die. Her feeling that there is no more life to live. I will not stand by and watch them suffer, especially if they plan on doing it themselves. I will help. I will give them the offer that nobody was able to give me.
“Yes. Now all of you who wish for me to take the sin from you, stay next to your cell door. The rest move back to the bed. If I feel you have any doubt I will not take you. If I feel that your wolf is close to taking over I will take you without you being willing. Am I understood?” I ask and they all nod their heads.
After a few moments I am left with 5 people, 4 wolves and a witch. 1 of which I will need to kill because their wolf is close to going insane. I lead them out to the cemetery and have them all sit, stand or kneel next to a pre-dug grave. I feel some fear from them, but not a lot. I approached the one who was about to go insane first.
“What is your name?” I ask.
“Krew.” He says and I nod my head.
“Krew. Do you know why I pulled you out here?” I ask and he nods his head.
“My wolf is fighting me for control. He wants to kill everybody and everything.” He says as a tear pools in his eye.
“What way?” I ask and he looks at me confused for a second before he realizes what I am talking about.
“Neck please. Anything easy and my wolf will win.” I nod my head and stand behind him.
“Think of your happy times with your wolf.” I say. When I see he has a slight smile I quickly grab the sides of his head and twist. I hear a crack and his body goes limp. I lay him down in his grave and move to the next.
“What is your name?” I ask the woman standing next to me.
“My.. My name is Catherine Loops.” She says through her big brown eyes looking up at me.
“How old are you Catherine?” I ask and she looks down.
“I am seventeen.” She says, and looks down.
“You have yet to meet your mate Catherine.” I say and she starts to cry silently.
“I do not wish to have a mate. I wish to be with my son. They.. they killed him last year and I cannot.. can… not.. “She starts to blubber.
“Shhhhh SHhhh. It is alright. I understand. Think of your son. Think about seeing his cute little face again. Think about his laugh and his smile.” I say to her as I walk behind her and wrap my arm around her neck. “Just think about the big smile you will get when you see him.” I say and squeeze my arm tight around her next.
“Thank you.” She whispers before I feel her body go limp and I lay her down in the grave. The other 3 people go the same way. Each telling me their names and listing out fond memories before I make them sleep for the last time. I grab the shovel that was left there in the corner of the graveyard and start to cover them up with the dirt mounds next to the freshly dug graves. I am in my own head and time passes by quickly. I go out to the nearby field and pick flowers. Once I have enough I return to the graves and lay the flowers down. Once I place them down, I walk over to a bench I had brought for me when I first started doing this. I sit down and give them silence and peace. What they were wanting.
Alarick’s POV
The walk to the Pack was silent. I don’t know what to do. She ices me out and doesn’t want to talk to me. I understand that she has been through a lot, but I am her mate. I am here to help. She shouldn’t handle everything alone. Once we get to the pack I greet the Alpha and Luna and follow them to a large building where they provide a cot, clothing, food and water. Keenan drags me over to a corner where the Alpha and Luna are.
“What are you doing? Shouldn’t we be helping them?” I ask Keenan. He shakes his head.
“No. We have to stand off to the side and let LeeAca do her thing. She gets upset if we interrupt her.” Keenan says and Alpha and Luna nod their head in agreement. I only nod and watch as she walks around the room.
