“I need to speak to you outside for a minute, get dressed,” I told Kyle as I walked right back out of the room. I don’t blame him as we tend to attract attention wherever we go, and it is Spring Break.
“Hey, what’s up man, I wanted another shot at her before I let her go?” Kyle tells me after he shuts the door to his room.
“Do you know where Calvin is? He is not in the room with Sophia, he took a lot of his clothes with him, and his truck is gone”, I tell him.
“No, I found that little hottie and took her to my room. I haven’t spoken to anyone last night or this morning. Let’s go ask Jeremy, he may know”, Kyle says as he steps down to Jeremy’s door and knocks on it.
“What the hell,” a naked Jeremy says as he answers the door. “I have a guest, don’t wake her. We were up late last night. What is the problem?” Jeremy asked.
“Calvin is missing, he isn’t answering his phone, and no one knows where he is. We were just checking with everyone in our group before I called his parents to see if they had an emergency that might have called him back home”, I say to Jeremy.
He might be washing his clothes, you know what a neat freak he is about his stuff, he may be at the local laundry. Try texting him and see what he says”, Jeremy tells us as he closes his door and locks it.
“I guess he isn’t going to help us look for him then,” I tell Kyle as I pick up my phone and text Calvin.
“Do you think he might have heard us? You know the plans we had for Jade. Do you think he heard us talking on the boat yesterday?” Kyle asks me.
“Shit, go grab your shoes and I will go tell the girls that we will be right back. We can grab some food while we are out to cover for our time. Let’s go by Jade’s house and see if his truck is there. If it is, then all of our plans to get Jade are ruined”, I tell Kyle.
I enter my room and try to keep calm as I tell them that no one had heard from Calvin, but that he may be washing his clothes and that I am going to text him and then check a few local laundry mats to see if we can find him. I also say that Kyle and I will be grabbing lunch for everyone on the way back as it is 11 am and it will be noon by the time we get back. We head out to my SUV and head straight to Jade’s rental house. There was a large white van with a commercial cleaning emblem on the side of it in the driveway with 4 people moving around in the house with the door open.
I entered the house looking around with Jade and all her friends not around, so I stopped one of the men there cleaning.
“Do you know where the people that were here are right now? Did they leave? I am friends with them, and we had something scheduled for lunch, but I didn’t see any of their vehicles in the driveway. Do you know where they went?’ I asked him.
“No, I do not know where they went, only that they had an emergency come up and they all had to leave three days early. We were told to go ahead and clean the unit for the upcoming guests today. I have no idea where the previous guests went to, I am sorry” he said, before turning to resume cleaning.
