“This isn’t good. They take off for an emergency and Calvin is missing. I don’t think that this is a coincidence at all. I think Jade got freaked out by me trying to take her last night, and they all bolted back for their pack. I need to call that Ashley girl up and tell her to let me know if Jade is back at Stone Moon. This really messes my plans up. I won’t be able to get Danica or Sophia to go in to get Jade anymore. They would kill her for sure in their jealousy. I will just keep in contact with Ashley and get this set up, she will just have to be the one on the inside for us, instead of sending the girls in. I need to get something for Ashley that will knock Jade out so she can’t fight her, so Ashley can put her in her trunk and then meet us in town after dark, so no one sees us getting her from the trunk. I don’t like this at all, but maybe you can work your magic on her, and get him willing to do that for us.” I told Kyle.
“She liked us both, we may have to work together on this to get Jade from Stone Moon,” Kyle tells me.
My phone pings with a text from Calvin. “I saw your missed call and text. I am OK, I just got another job offer from another pack to be their Gamma from someone I met from another pack. I will not be returning to Howling Wolf with you. We are not going in the same direction anymore and being forced to reject my mate has taken a large toll on me. I am not the same person that I was before I rejected Jade. I didn’t want to stay with Sophia, but she threatened to harm Jade, so I stayed with her just to keep Jade safe. I don’t care what you tell Sophia, as I hope I never have the displeasure of seeing her again. She has an ugly heart, as she is a malicious and mean person. I haven’t wanted to be with her for the last year, but she refused to break it off. Tell him we are done. We aren’t mates. She broke off with her mate because she wanted to be at a higher rate and not the warrior she was mated to. She refused to let me go and be with my mate. Don’t look for me. I will NOT be coming back to Howling Wolf. I reject the Howling Wolf pack and no longer have any and all ties to you. Don’t bother messaging me again. I already knew you didn’t want me in your pack anymore. You were going to cut me loose, remember? I am blocking your number from this time on. I have also notified my father, your dad’s current Beta, so he can advise your dad that you will be needing a new Beta. I think Kyle could fit in there for you, as my replacement. That is all, I am in my new pack. They will be having my ceremony shortly. I will never be coming back to your pack”.
I finished reading the text and I am pissed. He did hear our plans and knew what we were going to do. He probably warned Jade too, so they left. It is going to be hard as hell to get her now. I will have to talk to my father and see if he will support me in attacking Stone Moon if Ashley can’t get Jade out of there. He would want a white wolf to be my Luna. I am sure he will support it; I will speak to him when we get back home.
Asher’s perspective
I got back to the pack and went ahead to store the pontoon boat in its hanger and then the SUV in the Garage before I brought my car back around to the driveway. I need to speak to dad and just wanted to think through what all I was going to say to him and mom before I actually did it. I mind-linked dad and asked him if he was in his office.
“Both your mother and I are in the office. Did you need us?” Dad replied.
“Yes, I am on my way up right now,” I told him.
I knocked on the door when I got there, as I have learned that lesson before, and now I understand it, as I have felt how it feels to be with your true mate.
“Come in” my father calls out.
“Welcome back son. I thought you would be there until Sunday like your brother and sister?” my mother asked me.
“Something came up and I need help from both of you” I anxiously say to them.
“What is it?” my dad asks me.
