Chapter 66 – Falling for the Last Lycan Novel

He needed to come with a solution and turn the table.

“I can think of a way, but this will be a little bit tricky.” Rose touched her chin, as she was deep in thought.

“What is it?” Dacre put his focus on Rose and even Leonard was listening closely. There was a reason why the king called Rose back to visit the kingdom, not only because he wanted her to mate with alpha Logan, but also because he was impressed by their encounter earlier.

Even though Khaos was the mastermind behind almost all of the plan, but it didn’t mean Dacre was a lunatic, who couldn’t rule his own kingdom. It simply because Khaos’s plan was better most of the time.

Rose was witty and resourceful, Dacre knew that when she informed him about the ships that Khaos had purchased. He invited her here to ask for her opinion and it would be great if she could come up with a solution, and she did.

“That will make the king looks so bad.” Leonard frowned. He appreciated the idea, but he didn’t like it. “The king shouldn’t back down to anyone.”

“No.” Rose shook her head. “We need to make a difference approach if you want to win people’s heart. This plan will leave alpha Khaos with no other option.”

Leonard wanted to retort again, since he disliked the idea, but Dacre raised his hand to stop his royal beta.

“Tell me the detail of it.”

This was not the method that he used to do, but change was not always bad. It could catch Khaos out of guard, since he wouldn’t expect it.

Meanwhile, Khaos was listening to Lucas’s report about Gaia, alpha Roland’s first mate, she died years ago when she gave birth to Rhett.

“There is nothing much about Gaia, she came from Wolfdale kingdom. Her family is still there and apparently, Rhett and Declan are the only people, who ever visited that side of their family, while Silas seemingly doesn’t care to know them. Nothing important about their family, except…”

Khaos raised his brows when Lucas stopped talking, as if he wanted to taunt him and put the tension.

“Gaia lived in Great Kingdom when she was eight years old until a year before the massacre of the lycan.” Which meant, she had lived with the lycan for more than a decade before she was promised to alpha Roland and become the luna of the pack. “I couldn’t find out why she was there. They are an average family, but they are very secretive.”

Great Kingdom was the lycan’s main palace, which now became the Three Deadly Ways, the place where they believed the lycan’s treasure still buried somewhere in the area.

Currently, Khaos and Lucas were walking toward the wood, where Zuri was training with Gayle, but when they reached their spot, Caiden was actually hanging around with them too.

“What are you doing here?” Khaos frowned at his gamma.

“I am bored. There is nothing much I could do. Rhett wanted to take over the distribution, so…” Caiden shrugged his shoulders. “If he wanted to play hero, let him play. People know it’s your order for the food distribution.”

Lucas looked at Zuri and then shifted his focus on the alpha again. “My brother,” he said, reminding Khaos about his brother. “I want to know where he is.”

“I have asked someone to bring your brother here. He will be here within ten days.”

Lucas nodded and then left. He didn’t want to hang around with the people, who had kidnapped his brother, once he got his little brother back, he was going to get away from this alpha.

“Since you are already here, why don’t you train with her?” Khaos brushed away strands of hair from Zuri’s face. She was still training in her human form and she looked healthier now.

He didn’t know whether she was still throwing up or not, but she definitely put some meat on her body. Her cheeks were not as hollow as before, albeit if you didn’t pay close attention, you wouldn’t notice that.

“No. Thank you.” Caiden raised his arms. “I am weaker than Gayle and if she could beat his ass, I will not stand a chance. I have told you that.”

“Have some dignity.” Gayle gave Caiden a disgusting look. “You sound almost proud to be so much weaker than me.”

Caiden shrugged. “I choose my battle. More so, I have been having back pain because I have to help with the distribution of the food. I do too much physical work.”

Gayle, who couldn’t stand Caiden’s whining, kicked his ass. “You have no shame at all.”

On the other hand, Zuri who watched the two of them bickering, was actually laughing. She enjoyed their banter.

“Do you want to train with me?” Khaos pinched her chin and tilted her head. “I want to see how’s your training.”

Hearing that, Zuri’s eyes lit up. Caiden and Gayle stopped bickering and focused their attention on the two of them.

“Are you sure? I will not go easy on you.” Zuri taunted him playfully. “If I managed to kick

your ass, you will lose face in front of your gamma and warrior.”

“I will make sure they will not be able to say a word about it.”

“Hey!” Caiden protested. “What do you mean with that?!”

“In beast form?” Caiden raised his brows.

“Do you want to train in beast form?” Gayle widened his eyes in disbelief. “Luna, I believe you already know that the alpha is a lycan.”

“I know.” Zuri smiled sweetly. “I will not stand a chance to fight him in his human form, but I am confidence in my beast form.”

Gayle and Caiden exchanged look with one another, they were worried, since the two of them had seen how Zuri was in her beast form. Her beast was rather feral.

However, Khaos didn’t have the same concern. He knew what this woman was up to. She had been wanting to see Khaos in his beast form, but she had not yet gotten the chance. Therefore, this was her chance to see it.

“Fine.”

Gayle and Caiden were not worried about their alpha, but their main concern was if Zuri lost her control over her beast and let her instinct to take over her senses.

“Okay.” Zuri looked excited, she was beaming when she watched Khaos shifted into his beast for the first time.

The way he shifted his form was very smooth and when he stood in all four, his beast was majestic.

There was not much information about the lycan. If there was one thing that the three kingdoms agreed upon, it was to limited any information about the old dynasty.

But, it was well known that the lycan had white fur, as white as the snow and right now, the white beast was standing before her eyes, his fur was spotless white with grey eyes that stared back at her. The beast looked regal. Zuri had never seen anything like this before.

“I know he is beautiful, but control your expression, you are ogling at him, you know.”

And that, there was Caiden, who ruined this moment for her. Zuri turned around and glared at the gamma, who was grinning from ear to ear, as if he was so proud of his alpha.

Ignoring Caiden, Zuri came closer to the white beast and stretch her hand to caress the soft fur. She liked it. “You are so soft.” She was mesmerized.

Obviously, Khaos’s beast was bigger than Zuri and in one look, you would know that Zuri wouldn’t stand a chance against Khaos even when she was in her beast form, since Khaos had natural killing instinct too.

Both of them could be lethal in a battle together.
