Life’s Spiced Up with Some Werewolf Reads

Chapter 11 – Alpha Killian

“Need I ask what you’re doing here?” I asked, raising an amused eyebrow.

“Uh- I- Coffee,” she said, raising the tray, nearly slipping the glass and pouring the whole thing. I closed my eyes and nodded before looking at the woman whose cheeks were crimson red as she tried processing the situation that she was in. Her heart raced against her ribcage, and her hands shook despite her trying to hold the tray still, and I rolled my eyes before taking a step toward her.

Her eyes widened and she went to take a step back, fearing that I would hurt her, and I frowned before raising my hands up. She studied my expression for a second, trying to process the fact that I wouldn’t hurt her before I extended my hand toward her.

“You can put the coffee on the table, thank you, Eleanor.” I said, nodding at the coffee table that was in front of the couch that was in my room. The woman froze for a second before allowing herself to take a step forward and I frowned at the sight before forcing myself to take a deep breath.

She walked toward the table and put the coffee there before standing straight as she looked at me. “My apologies, Alpha. Liana told me that you liked your coffee…”

“Next time, you bring the coffee while I am showering and you place it on the coffee table there. Otherwise, if I am busy, you put the coffee in the dining room where I would be having breakfast alongside the pack.” I said, stopping her. “I believe that you can hear through the walls, you are a wolf as well; therefore, I do suggest that you start acting like one.”

“My apologies…”

“You can leave, Eleanor.” I said, stopping her. “I will be out in a few minutes. I expect the suit to be cleaned when I am back, do you understand me? My laundry would be given to you by Liana, and I want that taken care of too.”

“Yes, Alpha.” She said, looking down at her feet before I nodded. She took a step back and walked out of the room before closing the door behind her. Her heart raced despite her leaving, and I could swear that she stood by the door for a minute, as if trying to compose herself before she left.

“We’ll find out what your story is eventually, little wolf.” I said, shaking my head as I took the mug in my hand and got a sip. “Until then, you can keep going with your timid girl act…”

“What the fuck do you mean by they canceled the wedding?” I asked, frowning at Vladimir who shook his head in response.

“Believe or not, Alpha, we don’t know what happened. Elton just left, but there are a few of his men around and they are also leaving. The pack has arrived, but they don’t seem to be happy with him either,” he said, and I frowned in confusion. “There is a rumor that spread that his fiancé ran away, but neither one of them has confirmed or denied this.”

“I am not sure whether to say that she is smart or stupid for doing so. But I also can’t blame her. The man is a prick and I am actually surprised that anyone would give their daughter to him. Then again, neither one of them were real men to begin with, therefore, I can’t expect less.” I said, shrugging my shoulders.

“What do you want us to do?” Vladimir asked, shaking his head in question. “If it is true and she did run, then they would be coming back again to ‘find her’, and if that…”

“We will keep an eye out, and IF she did run away, I would be more than willing to help her out.” I said, and he raised an eyebrow. “If anyone knows any information that would destroy the Bernardi’s, then it would be her. I would help save her ass from the bastard, and she would help me with the information that I needed.”

“And if she chooses not to?” Vladimir asked, raising an eyebrow. “You know that this could be a misleading act for us to think that she ran away. The two of them could be plotting a dirty game together to try and claim the territory, especially after you said no.”

I looked at the wall behind him. The wall that had the picture of my family a few years ago, the one picture that united us and my lost sister who had died in the hands of Luca Bernardi, the Alpha and Don of their pack.

“Then they both die. They can enjoy their heaven and hell together for all I care, and IF he thinks that he can play a smart game for the sake of being ‘Capo dei Capi’, the one title that he would never be worthy of, then I am going to feed him to the dogs.” I said before getting up from the desk. “Be sure to keep an eye on the area, and try finding the woman. If she wants to be found, then I am sure that she would be leaving a trace behind her somewhere. If not, then we are going to be ten times smarter and are going to find our way to negotiate. Either way, I don’t want anyone finding out about this.”

“Yes, Alpha,” he said, and I smiled before nodding at him.

“Now, come on, we have a meeting at the Rosa de Maria,” I said, and he smirked, knowing that things were about to get dirty. “‘The Cartel’ is waiting for us…”

Eleanor:

“The Alpha just left, and I do hope that you didn’t do anything to disrespect or upset him earlier today.” Liana said, entering the kitchen where I was waiting for the Alpha to leave. I feared cleaning and him walking out on me with barely his towel on again. Therefore, I settled on helping the girls out in the kitchen until he was gone.

“I have done nothing to upset him, Liana, you needn’t worry,” I said, and she raised an eyebrow. She didn’t respond for a few seconds before nodding at the cabinet that was behind me.

“The broom, mop, and bucket are in the cabinet behind you. I do suggest that you start cleaning up, and believe me, I will come and check to see that everything is done properly. Then you will be ironing the Alpha’s clothes. When you’re done, you will come here and help us out in the kitchen,” she said, and I nodded.

“Yes, ma’am,” I said, turning around. She didn’t say a word to respond as I opened the cabinet to get the things that I wanted. I also chose to pick up a duster and a small cloth. “Are there any detergents that I would be using? Something in specific that the Alpha prefers or doesn’t?”

“All the detergents here are used based on the Alpha’s preference.” She said, and I nodded.
