Just then Renz and Lacy show up. This time my Gamma Jessup and his mate, Jane accompanied them. “Alpha, Luna. We were looking for you guys today. Where did you all run off to?” Renz asked, “By the way, Luna, I don’t think you met Jessup or Jane. They are our Gamma couple.” He added.
Rebel spoke up, “It’s very nice to meet you both.” Then she looked at Renz and Lacy, “Austin thought I should go see Dr. Hadley at the pack hospital today for a checkup.”
All four of them looked to me for an explanation. “Jessup and Jane, you don’t know Rebel’s story. Without going over all the details, your Luna was abused in many different ways in Ironclaw before I found her in the woods earlier this week and realized she was my mate.” I stated clearly before continuing, “Until today, Rebel has never seen a doctor. We wanted to get her a physical. We were there for a very long time. As you can imagine, with no medical history, one needed to be established.” I finished.
“Alpha, seriously, that is the vaguest response. You said a lot and nothing at all.” Lacy said. Then she looked at my mate. “Luna, is everything okay? What happened?”
I mind linked my betas, gammas and my mate to keep the conversation private. ‘Your Luna has a condition that is a result of malnourishment. It’s been better since being here, however, her blood work showed she is deficient in several things. Dr. Hadley put her on a special diet to help with her nutrition.’
I see Lacy and Jane in particular look at their Luna with concern. Lacy is the first to respond, ‘I feel like you ar leaving a lot out Alpha. Is that all?’
Jane chimed in, ‘I agree. You were there all afternoon. Bloodwork and a physical wouldn’t take that long. What else do we need to be aware of Alpha and Luna?’
I can see Renz and Jessup looking at me too. I sigh and mind link Rebel privately, ‘Do you want them to know?’
She responds, ‘Yes, they are our ranked members and if something happens, I guess if they are around and know what’s going on, they will understand the level of severity. I mean, after the ceremony, I have to get bones reset babe.’
I tell my betas and gammas, ‘After dinner, let’s go to my office. We will discuss in more detail.’
They looked at each other and then at Rebel and me and just nodded.
Kaden POV
I haven’t heard from those damn rogues. I sent my scout to go to Blackstone and see what’s happening over there. I need to get to Rebel Lawson. She is the key to gaining Rising Moon. After I take Rising Moon, I will be able to become Alpha King of the Northeastern Region. Once I have the title, I can dispose of the she-wolf and reunite her with her mother in the moon goddess realm.
The witch I have worked with, Morgana told me that Rebel was the key if I wanted to become Alpha King. She told me she is with her fated mate, some Austin Willis. I looked him up. But taking out Rising Moon would give me access to their healing springs. That would ensure that me and my warriors heal and continue fighting any other regions. Which will be my next step after I become Alpha King. I will become Alpha of Alphas and then power will be mine.
My Beta, Pierce, told me the scout we sent is coming back soon with information. He had better, otherwise he is completely useless to me and I will dispose of him. I don’t have time for incompetence. The rogues were suppose to have brought Rebel to me already. I’m already irritated with the idea of failure or betrayal, but I guess I shouldn’t have expected anything different.
“Alpha, the scout is back.” Beta Pierce comes with the scout in tow.
I look up at the scout, “Well?”
“Alpha,” he bows and begins, “There were no signs of the rogues anywhere when I got to Blackstone. However, I saw a she-wolf who looks a lot like Rising Moon’s late Alpha, Sydney. I believe she is Rebel. However, I saw a mate mark on her neck. It appears she and Alpha Austin completed their mate bond already.”
“I don’t care about her mate. I will force my mark on her over his and make her mine regardless.” I say.
“I observed Rebel also walking to the pack hospital there with the Alpha. I’m not sure why, but they were there for hours.” He said.
“Does she look injured or in poor health?” I asked. It would make it easier for me to force her with my mark.
“No Alpha, she looks healthy and well built.” He said, pulling out his phone and pulling up a picture. He hands me the phone and I look at the woman in the picture. She really does look like her mother. But she has legs for days and every bit of a woman’s body. Her tits and her ass look like perfect globes. After dinner, Austin takes me by the hand and we go to his office. Renz, Lacy, Jessup and Jane all follow behind us. In the corner of my eye, I see movement. I stop and Austin looks at me. “Excuse me a minute babe.” I say.
I go back, with all eyes on me, and I see her. Once again, this she-wolf is getting on my nerve. She is trying to snoop around behind a doorway and Roxie is ready to lay this pain in our asses down. “Ceraline, why are you hiding? What are you up to now?”
“Oh, Luna.” She begins, “Nothing. I was just hanging around.”
‘Lie,’ Roxie said. I immediately mind link Austin of the lie and that Roxie is going into lie detector mode, which means there is something more sinister going on.
“You’re not a very good liar, Ceraline.” I reply, “I don’t like liars. I’m going to ask you again, why are you hiding and what are you up to now?”
“Well, I see all ranked members were going into a meeting and I wanted to know what it’s about.” She said, feigning innocence.
‘Half-truth.’ Roxie says.
“For what purpose?” I ask her.
“Honestly, I was just being nosey. I wanted to see what the meeting was about.” She says and I see her throat swallow. She is nervous about something.
I mind link Austin to have everyone stay behind me. I push out my aura, forcing Ceraline to kneel. “Tell me the truth Ceraline. Why are you trying to find out about what we are going to discuss?”
