However, there was no way for both of them to commit to this relationship.
As for Aderan, he only told the alpha about this, right after the first time he realized that the queen was his mate, since they had to keep this as a secret, or else both of them would be in so much trouble. They could lose their heads for this.
“Aderan…” queen Della moaned, as she could feel her climax was so close. Her body trembled when she felt him move inside of her. He was going so deep and the force of his thrusts was really rough.
Usually, she didn’t like it when the king took pleasure from her in such a way, but she didn’t mind it when Aderan did it to her. She wanted this pain so badly, so she could forget all of her heartache and misery that she had to endure in this life.
This would be the last night they could be together and she didn’t want this night to end. She wanted to be in Aderan’s arms, she wanted to be with her destined mate.
The palace was so cold, while the king had dozens of slaves and more than ten mistresses that he kept in the palace.
Even though she was the highest ranking woman in this continent, the luxuries and respect that she got felt so superficial. Her heart gradually grew cold.
That was why she hated it when she saw Aria. She was a mistress and from what she learned, she was a lowborn, which meant she wouldn’t be the luna and one day, to whoever would become the luna, the mistress would be a thorn in her relationship.
It didn’t take long before Della found her release and Aderan followed after. Both of them were panting and he kissed her temple.
“Are you okay?” He checked on her, because she was crying. “Did I hurt you?”
The question only brought more tears to Della’s eyes. The king had never treated her this gently. After he was done with her and got the pleasure that he wanted, he would leave right after, not even bothering to ask how she was.
“I am fine.” Della nodded, her voice was hoarse.
“Why are you crying?” Aderan was concerned. He looked her in the eyes, she looked so beautiful. Too young for the king, who was twice her age.
“I want to be with you,” Della said, trembling. She sobbed now, as she hugged him closely. They laid down on the long wooden table, which was big enough for both of them.
Aderan held her so close to him and caressed her back. “I know. I want to be with you too.” He kissed her hair again.
Hearing that Della raised her head and then looked at him. “Take me. Take me away from here. We can run away and go to a different continent. No one will be able to find us.” It was an impulsive suggestion, both of them knew that.
Moreover, Cane would be in trouble if the queen disappeared when she was in the pack under his responsibility and Aderan couldn’t do that to his alpha.
“Sst… don’t cry, we will think about what we can do.” Aderan pulled down her dress to cover her thighs and legs.
In the end, in this quiet library, there was only Della’s soft whimpers that they could hear. Fortunately, no one would come to this place in the middle of the night, aside from Iris, of course, but it seemed she didn’t visit this library that often.
“Was the king not in a good mood? Why did he bring slaves to your shared bedroom?” Aderan asked casually, as he played with Della’s black, long hair, while she rested her head on his chest.
“Of course, he was upset. Your alpha turned the tables around and he didn’t like the outcome. Actually, I like it when I saw he was so distraught, but then he brought his four slaves and started to fuck them.”
Aderan growled in a low voice. There was nothing he could do about that situation and it gave him frustration. He would really love to kill that old king if he was given a chance.
“He wanted to rule the Blue Moon pack because it has the mines, but because by law the mines belong to the Howling Wolf pack and Blue Moon pack, which are now under the responsibility of Alpha Cane, he was furious.”
Aderan listened attentively, there would be something important that Della would let out in her whining and he was right.
“That’s why he planted someone to spy on your pack instead.”
“What?” Aderan shifted his body and then looked Della straight in her eyes. “What do you mean by that?”
Della was startled when she knew that she had slipped up, blurting out something important.
“My queen…” Aderan coaxed her.
“That title belongs to the woman of the king. I want you to call me Della.”
Aderan smiled and tested the name on his tongue. “Della.” He leaned over and kissed her gently.

Iris screamed when the guard tore the front of her dress, she immediately covered her body with both of her hands, as she knelt down. Tears streamed down her cheeks.
This was not the first time for her to be stripped naked in front of so many people. She remembered how alpha James had done the same thing. He had even touched her intimately, which was something that she found very repulsive.
“Go away!” Iris cried, trying to shun these warriors away from her, as they surrounded her closely and she was only an arm’s length from them.
“What are you waiting for?!” Aria shouted, as she provoked them again. “Do it! Let her feel the pain that our dead friends and family members had to endure! Let her have a painful death!”
Hearing what Aria said and with anger driving their minds, they started to pull her dress away from her body, exposing her milky skin, which made their animal instinct come alive.
“What a beauty…” Most of them murmured to see how the auburn haired young woman trembled in fear. They touched her soft skin and didn’t believe there was someone with skin as soft as her.
However, they abruptly stopped when they saw the scars on her back. They gasped loudly and backed away when their eyes fell on Iris’ ghastly scars.
It was not just two or three, but her back was littered with old scars. From the looks of it, it was because someone whipped her so hard.
Realizing what they were staring at, Iris immediately covered her back with her hair. Her eyes were bloodshot because of fear and tears. “Get away from me! Get away from me!”
On the other hand, Aria didn’t know what happened and why they stopped all of a sudden. She swiftly got down from her high platform and rushed toward Iris, but before she could find out what was going on, someone had reached Iris first.
He took off the cloak that he was wearing and then covered her body.
“Miss Aria, what are you doing?” Stone asked Aria, as he stood in front of her. “If she is really the alpha’s mate, why do you want to kill her and cause the alpha pain?”
Aria was furious. She didn’t believe Stone stepped forward and took her side. “Because I am his mistress!”
