Koda felt her face “Well she’s not overheated anymore, so I don’t think it worked”
I started flipping through one of the books again “I can’t believe this b*stard documented all the abuse but never once tried to help her, if he ever shows himself, I’m just going to kill him”
“Get in line” Koda said firmly as he opened one of the other books “Listen to this” He said and sat up a little straighter “She blacked out today and attacked Troy in the shed, her molt is defensive, she needs pain to bring it on”
“What the f*ck” I pulled the book from his hands and read it for myself “So.. is this why he never helped her, he wanted Troy to hurt her, to bring on this molt cr*p”
“Well, he’s out of luck because she’s not getting hurt ever again”
“No, she’s not” I closed the book and gathered the rest “I’ll hide these in our office”
“You don’t think we should tell her?”
I looked down at Madelyna and my protective instincts kicked in “No” I shook my head “I don’t want this keeper anywhere near her, we have to get rid of him”
“And if she does molt and becomes a phoenix?” He asked reasonably “We’ll need this keeper to help her”
“Help her?” I asked in disbelief “Koda, this pr*ck saw her getting tortured and not just once” I held up the books and displayed them “But for years, and he drugged her tonight, and all to help bring on this molt, he is a monster, I don’t want him near her”
Madelyn moaned and climbed on top of Koda, causing the blanket to fall and her night gown to rise up, and I couldn’t stop my eyes from sweeping over her perfect body.
“Mine” She mumbled, and I saw Koda’s eyes light up as he leaned his head against hers, but then I frowned.
“Hey, what do you think about her comments on the strings?” I asked him as I ran my fingers over her wrist.
“She was just seeing sh*t” Koda glared at me “Don’t bring it up again”
“We have to talk about this, dam it!” I snapped “What if she really was seeing something, what if she does have another mate, what if we lose her!?”
“She is ours!” Koda rarely got angry, but I knew not to push him when he did “I don’t care what she saw, I dare care about some stupid golden thread, I’m not giving her up, are you?”
“Of course not” I ran my hand over her hair and kissed her head.
“Then don’t worry about it” Koda snapped “We’re not leaving her and I don’t care if she ever wants to leave us, I won’t let her go, I’ll keep her here against her will if I have too”
“Okay, calm down” I exhaled and leaned my face against her back for a moment before sitting up “I’m going to shower”
“Yeah, you need one” Koda joked “You stick”
“Shut up” I rolled my eyes “And cover her up, it’s cold”
MADELYN’S POV
I heard someone moving around and groaned grumpily “Shut up!” I complained as my head throbbed, and the noise shut off but then I froze when I remembered I wasn’t in my bedroom in Alpha Troys house, I was in my mates home… Did I just tell the future kings to shut up..
“Sorry baby” Koda whispered and kissed my head.
I rolled over and rubbed my eyes “No, I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have told you to shut up, I just reacted”
“When are you going to realize that you are not beneath us” Jaxson sat on the bed beside me wearing a towel around his waist
“Well, not at the moment anyway” Koda winked but Jax reached over and shoved him.
“As I was saying” Jax went on “You’re not beneath us, you’re our mate, if you want to tell us to shut up, then you can and if we feel like shutting up, we will”
“And if we feel like fighting, we will” Koda joked and held up his fists playfully
“Okay” I nodded, but the movement hurt my head, making me groan again.
“How are you feeling?”
“Like death” I admitted “What happened, the last thing I remember is Jax making me throw up”
“You don’t remember anything else?” Koda looked worried.
“No, why, what did I do?”
“Nothing sweetheart” Jax smiled “You were just very stoned, but we took care of you”
“Look baby” Koda ran his fingers through his hair and looked a little uncomfortable “Last night, you were very… eager to have s*x”
“I was?” I blushed and slowly sat up and leaned against the headboard as I pulled up my knees
“Yes” Koda smiled and touched my leg “And you wouldn’t take no for an answer, so in order to get you to settle down and relax, I fingered you, I’m sorry, I didn’t realize you wouldn’t remember”
“Oh” I bit my bottom lip “No, that’s okay, I don’t mind, I’m sure I enjoyed it”
Koda looked relieved “Are you sure, I understand if you’re upset with me”
“I’m not” I put my hand over his “Well… on one condition”
“What condition?” Jax asked in confusion.
“As long as c*m” I smiled to put them at ease. I really didn’t mind, I don’t think I would have minded even if we’d slept together.
Koda laughed and nodded “You c*m”
“All good then” I shrugged and smiled, but then my stomach did a backflips “Now, if you’ll excuse me, I need to go throw up”
I quickly rushed off the bed with my hand clamped over my mouth, I had a hard time holding it in until I made it to my toilet and the second I lifted the lid, I let everything out
I felt my eyes watering and my throat burt, I couldn’t hear anything besides a humming in my ears but I felt it when someone pulled my hair up, out of my face as I threw up again.
Once my stomach was empty, I sat back on my knees and closed my eyes as I leaned into Jaxsons delicious scent until I felt his chest. It was wet from the shower he’d just had, but I didn’t mind, it was soothing on my over-heated skin and I wound my arms around his waist.
“Feel free to kill me” I half laughed in pain “It’ll hurt less”
“Don’t worry baby” Koda ran his hand over my back in circles “We’ll find out who drugged you and kill them”
“Okay, deal” I took a deep breath “Make it hurt, are there any leads?”
There was silence for a few seconds before Jaxson answered “No”
I frowned and leaned back as I looked at them “Are you lying?”
“It’s nothing you have to worry about” Jax climbed to his feet and pulled me up “Let’s take a shower, and you can brush your teeth”
“I thought you just had a shower” I asked and looked over his body.
