“Good morning, my Luna.” I say, shit, even my voice sounds husky.
My little minx looks at me with a raised eyebrow and smirk, “A very good and deliciously sore morning, my Alpha.” She says as I walk towards her.
“I thought you might be sore this morning. I drew you a bath and thought you might like to relax this morning before we go down for breakfast.” I say nuzzling my nose into her neck and inhaling her scent.
She moaned softly, “Okay. Are you joining me?”
“If you want.”
“I very much want.”
“Anything for you, darling.” I say as I kiss her. She wraps her arms around my neck and I deepen the kiss.
To think, almost a month ago, I was waking up lonely and now I have my Luna. I pour my love to her in our bond, and she gasps.
“Goddess, I love you, Austin.” She says.
“I love you too, Rebel. Come.” I lead her to the tub, and we both start washing each other
“We are going to see Dr. Hadley today, right?” She says.
“Yeah, I was thinking after breakfast. Would you like your grandparents to come?” I askhe
“Yeah, and Renata too, if she wants. I’m pretty sure she will anyway.” She smiles.

If I wasn’t paying attention, I wouldn’t have caught the bit of worry in her eyes. But, I was, ying attention, so I did see it, and I want to know what she is thinking.
“Tell me what’s going on in your head, darling.”
I say.
She looks at me like she might cry. I smell fear and anxiety coming off of her. “I’m scai d. Scared about Cullen, Kaden, my father, the surgery, and I’m scared that something is going to happen and something is going to ruin this beautiful life you have given me.”
I wrap my arms around her, “Hey, Hey, Rebel, look at me,” I begin as she starts to look up at me, “I’m a big, mean and vicious Alpha. I protect what’s mine. You my darling Luna, are very much mine. I know we have some problems we need to face, but you are the strongest woman I have ever met and I know we are going to get through everything together. I love you, and I will protect you with my life.”
I feel some of the fear leave her but the anxiety is still there. I know this is hard for her. She was a ghost almost a month ago. No one knew she existed. Now, she is being hunted by two Alphas, she is a Luna and found family and friends. It’s a lot for someone who has been alone all her life to take in and it’s happening very quickly.
“How about you and I take a trip when we get things settled? That way we can take our time to process everything. I unfortunately can’t guarantee that right now, but I think it will be needed once we figure things out and get rid of the threats.”
She rests her head in the crook of my neck and inhales my scent. I feel her calming. I hold on to her a bit tighter so she feels secure. I am angry at everyone that has harmed her and with those who still want to harm her.
“I would like that. Just you and me.” She says.
“Just you and me.”
We are finishing up breakfast and I invite my mom, Reid and Adele to come with us to the pack hospital. I think it will be good for Rebel’s grandparents to come, especially since we don’t have any family history.
“Thank you for allowing us to be there for you both.” Reid says. Adele is holding Rebel’s hand and it seems like all she does is cry with guilt over my mate.
“Grandma, please, don’t cry. You have nothing to feel guilty about. I’m glad you both are coming. Dr. Hadley asked me about my family history and I don’t know anything. You could help by filling in some gaps for her today and that would help me too.” Rebel says encouragingly.
“Of course! Anything we can provide to help you get healthy, we will do.” Adele says.
Councilman Elias also joins the conversation. “Luna Rebel,” he begins, “If you are agreeable, I would also like to come with you, so I can get copies of your medical records from Dr. Hadley. I will open the inquiry against your father as soon as I do.”
“Yes, please do. I want that particular issue resolved, sooner, rather than later.” She says.
“I agree with Rebel. We can coordinate when you plan to have him in custody and I will have your rooms ready and the cells for him and his family ready.” I say to Elias.
“Very good. Are we ready to go then?” Reid asks.
“Yes. Let’s head over.” I say.
We make our way to the pack hospital. The first time coming here, it was just Rebel and me and now, my Luna has an entourage of people joining us. All of her love her and want her not only to be healthy but to have the justice she deserves.
Upon reaching the hospital, Dr. Hadley meets us outside. She looks a little distressed. Clearly something has happened.
“Alpha, Luna, I was coming to get you. I’m so sorry!” She starts, clearly she is panicking.
“What’s happened?” I ask her.
“I swear, I had Luna Rebel’s medical records locked up securely in my office safe, but when I got there this morning, my office was turned over and the only thing missing is her records!” She responded and she looks like she is about to burst into tears.
“Calm down Dr. Hadley. Have you checked the surveillance footage?” I asked.
“Yes, but I don’t recognize the culprit. Please, come with me.” She says as she leads us to curity room.
