The warrior in the security room pulls up the footage. “Alpha, the picture isn’t the best f y, however, the person came through the window. I’m not sure how the culprit bypassed the security sy, but it was bypassed, which is why the alarm didn’t go off and alert anyone.”
Rebel leans in and she looks closer. “Can you replay it?”
I look closely at my mate. She is seeing something. “What is it?”
“I’m not sure, but doesn’t it look like the same emblem from Blue Moon?” She lots to the hape of the badge holding the cloak together of the culprit.
Son of a bitch. It’s the same fucking shape. “FUCK!” I growl.
I turn to everyone, “This was Blue Moon. That bastard Kaden has a fucking death wish!’ I snarl.
I see Reid and Elias snarl as well. Adele and my mom stand beside Rebel. Dr. Hadley is confused. I fill her in on Blue Moon and Alpha Kaden, then she is snarling too,
“Why is everyone after Luna Rebel? Can’t they just leave the poor girl alone?” My mother says, anger rolling off her shoulders.
Rebel then quietly speaks, “Dr. Hadley, do we need to reestablish everything or did you make any backups?”
“I made backups, Luna.”
“Please give a copy of the backup to councilman Elias. He will be opening a case against my father,” Rebel is being very calm in all of this, but through our bond, I feel a sense of determination. “Then I need you to check my bloodwork and make sure I’m healthy to reset the bones.”
“Luna, surely that can wait. There seems to be a bigger issue at hand right now.” Dr. Hadley said.
“No. This is the priority. If Blue Moon has my records, then they know I have weaknesses. I need to be recovered before they come back. I do not want to be put under to have my bones reset. Give me a nerve block if you must, but my wolf must be awake to heal me quicker.” She says.
My mate is right. The quicker she is healthy again, the better. “Dr. Hadley, your Luna is correct. However,” I s turning to Rebel, “You will not be left unguarded. I will have your Luna Guard here and I will be stationing extre security around and inside this hospital.”
“Thank you Austin.” She is still very quiet but she won’t let me access her mind about what she is thinking. It’s giving me a level of anxiety I’m not use to having.
“Dr. Hadley, please see if your Luna is healthy enough for surgery.” I say, “Also, we found out that Rebel’s maternal grandparents are alive and well. I am sure Alpha Reid and Luna Adele can fill you in on the family history that we couldn’t provide last appointment.” I finish.
Reid steps forward, “Anything you need, we are happy to provide,” Then he looks at me, “Alpha Austin, I insist you allow Rising Moon to assist in whatever plans you have in mind for Blue Moon. We will not watch Sydney’s on daughter be put in danger by that asshole Kaden.” He finishes with a snarl.
“Thank you Alpha Reid. I will certainly appreciate your help.” I respond.
Looks like Alpha Kaden didn’t heed Austin and Rebel’s warning…uh on!
Rebel POV
Kaden seems to be rearing his evil head more lately. He is planning his attack sooner than we thought. I need to talk to Austin more about this later. Right now, my priority is getting strong and not giving my unsought enemies anything to use against me. As much as I know that Austin is doing everything he can to keep me safe, I also know the old saying, “Luck favors the prepared.”
After my grandparents fill in the gaps of my family medical history, which also confirms my mother was an Alpha female herself and she was the same frame as I am, Dr. Hadley started my bloodwork. It made me feel connected to my mom in a strange way hearing all of the things discussed about her and the family in general.
Dr. Hadley comes back in the room with the bloodwork results. “Luna, you have made great improvement. I can see you have been following the regiment. We can set up surgery for tomorrow morning.”
“No. I want the surgery now Dr. Hadley. We are running against the clock and I need every last minute of recovery time I can get.” I responded.
Austin steps in, “Darling, I think we can wait a day.”
I turn to my grandparents, “How long did it take you to arrive here? You dropped everything and drove, correct?”
Reid answered, “Yes. It was a twelve hour drive to get here, driving straight through.”
I turn to Austin, “If this Blue Moon warrior left last night, then Kaden has a 10 hour minimum start on us. They are going to mobilize and be here in two days, tops. We need to do this now Austin.”
Renata then speaks up, “Austin, I think Rebel is right. We need to get ahead of this before Blue Moon gets here.”
“Renata and I will stay with Rebel while you, Reid and Councilman Elias talk about next steps.” Adele says.
‘Are you sure about this Rebel?” He mind links me.
‘Yes. I will recover quickly since I’m a true Alpha, Austin. I don’t want any of my weaknesse us. Let’s do this now.’
Austin takes a deep breath. Clearly, he doesn’t want to go along with this plan.

“Dr. Hadley, is there a reason why your Luna can’t do the surgery today instead of tomort?” He asks.
“No, Alpha. We can do it, but usually patients want to have some time to prepare for surge” Dr. Hadley responds.
“I have everything I need doctor. If there is anything I need, I’m sure that anyorm this ro willing to help.”
“Very well, we can proceed then. Luna if you will follow me, we can start prepping for urgery.”

I stand to follow the doctor and Austin follows behind me, while everyone else goes to the waiting room. ‘I’ve told your guard and Renz that we are doing the surgery darling. I still think you should wait.’
